The lying to her husband is bad enough, but it’s so stupid for her to lie to her doctors. I know, I know, it’s a TV show, that’s what makes the case interesting and a mystery, blah blah blah. The truth is that irl people lie to their doctors all the time. And it can cause serious problems. You want to lie to your loved ones, that’s your choice. But cut yourself and your doctors a break and just tell them the dang truth!
well it's likely that at least during the early parts of the case she may not have been aware that taking both birth control and fertility treatment was the cause of her problems. Remember that patients themselves are not involved when the team is doing the differential diagnosis.
I mean, all the infectious disease patients who got weird bugs from having a dog or eating a slice of ham (the first ever patient from the pilot) or the CIA guy who ate a bunch of Brazil nuts didn't know that they did that one weird thing that caused all their health issues, and House had to find that out.

Disagree. Depends on your definition of fighting. We disagree with my better half from time to time, but we never raised our voices on each other. And we can talk about all the things in the world for hours. If I would be so bold - it seems like you see abusive or dysfunctional relationships as norm.

Yeah I hated this patient. She's completely selfish. She knew what she was doing to herself and would rather get sick than tell the truth to her husband.

And he's not seeing how much stress and pressure she has already in her life and is still going along with wanting a baby. They are both at fault. She's not depriving him of ANYTHING, she doesn't OWE him a child, love isn't a bill or a loan, she's a people pleaser, meaning she ALWAYS ALWAYS puts out for others before she takes care of herself. And the one time she does something for herself she's at major fault? No, she needs to be taken care off too. She can't always be the one paying out. She is willing to DIE, than to upset her husband with the words of "I dont want to be pregnant." and to see him disappointed. She is willing to go through all the motions HOPING, that after a while he will think maybe its for the best that they stop. She's going through all these medical issues and he doesn't stop to think "Hey maybe the fertility treatment is making my wife ill, honey maybe get off of it? maybe its not worth it?"
People pleasers are notorious of putting themselves in harms way, hiding whatever suffering they have, so long as the person they love keeps a smile. They will hardly ever say "no", even if they are hoping and praying to every god in the history of the world that the other other person will change their mind. People pleasing is a form of anxiety. Seeing people upset or disappointment can be one the most distressing things for people pleasers, because they already think they are the worst and don't deserve the kindness and love they have, they think they have to keep saying "Yes" otherwise they lose everything. She needs care, not blame.
@@tic857 she doesnt owe him a child but if he doesnt want to be with her because he wants a child of his own then that should be his choice, lying to him makes her scum and most men would leave and find a partner that is wanting the same things. thats how reasonable people handle things. instead she's is depriving him and yes depriving him is the correct word because he is being lied to and unable to make his own decision on the matter
She's not thinking clearly. Even if she gets the fertility trxts medically prohibited, if hubby has raising-our-baby fever, he will grieve for a little, then move on surrogacy, then to adoption. (Then she'll have to invent a retroactive criminal record to flunk the homestudy).
As a person who lives close to Hopkins I never realized us B-more people using "who-ha" was only a local usage for vag/uterus 😅

I know people like this, and I don't mean lying to not have a baby but more likely, their entire existence and values/power is based of a lie, if they admit the truth/their true feelings, they lost that power/value and hence, deny their own existence, as a result, they would rather die/live with the lie rather than denying their whole existence.
Imagine someone who used to be rich but gone broke after one night, most wouldn't tell his friends of families but still act like they are rich, this example is more common yes? There are streamers who actually gone broke acting to be rich (hire Lamborghini, hire Gucci items etc...) and the mindset is the same

Yes, Hopkins (but it's Johns Hopkins - not John 😉) - the university and the hospital, both world renowned. Baltimore also has one of the country's first Shock Trauma units associated with the University of Maryland, and a world class burn unit at Mercy Hospital. All within 10 square miles.

It's how they have to do their job of keeping you healthy. If you don't like it, you can always skip your exam, and then the doctor won't know about any potentially harmful conditions you may have, such as cancer. 🙄
@l.a.3479 The GYN is often unnecessarily painful. The procedures are all done without any type of pain meds or anesthesia. I've had an IUD put in and 3 biopsies. I passed out from the IUD pain and the biopsies all hurt like all get out. In addition, they would rather wait and let you develop a serious or fatal condition than honor your wishes on things. It's all literally torture, and many of the devices they use are intentionally more painful. I asked for a hysterectomy years ago due to endometrial hyperplasia and abnormal paps. They refused due to my age and their ethics. Now after 4 abnormal paps year after year - they're finally doing a biopsy and suspecting cancer. They don't seem to care about health as much as they do just torturing us sometimes. Did you know that giving birth on your back like most hospitals advocate for is like the WORST position to do so? It just makes it harder and causes a ton more potential issues.
@@CanineGrowTime I am truly sorry for the physical pain you have experienced. While I have been very uncomfortable during exams, I've never had the pain that you're describing, and all of the gynecologists I've had have been caring.
@@l.a.3479 I have really bad cervical stenosis... so every procedure involving having to go through it such as IUD placement or the multiple endometrial biopsies are always horrible. They refuse to give me a general anesthesia so I just have to suffer through it and it's enough to literally make me pass out.
oy. I'm so sorry you've gone through all that. The attitude is getting better, but. agreed. for the longest time, women were viewed as hysterical, and pregnancy as some kind of medical condition. I remember when I was young. I had an episode of hemorrhagic cystitis, scared the bejeezus out of me, went to the ER. and the male attending wanted to catheterize me because he suspected it was just menstrual blood. Right. Introduce a route of infection to an already irritated and painful urethra because you think I got my holes confused. News Flash - just because God thought men could only handle one hole, doesn't mean women can't handle two...so to speak 😆. I refused the catheter and he said it would take the lab hours to determine if it was menstrual blood making my urine *uniformly blood red* and, I guess, causing all that pain and urgency too, somehoworanother. I said I'd wait. Two hours later he comes back with a clipboard, reads the results, writes me a scrip, and walks away. Female nurse comes over and says. "it's just a bladder infection hon, they're real common. Take the antibiotics this time, but when it happens again, drink a bottle of cranberry juice as soon as you feel it coming on. and it should go away by itself." She was right. Thank God more women are becoming doctors, and more men are becoming nurses. We need both of both for the best care of our unique physiologies.

They really don't have a good marriage if you can't tell the truth to the person that you want to be with for the rest of your life. She's manipulative and a coward. Yeah, the kid's problem has a lot more to do with having a manipulative, cowardly mom than a dad who foolishly thinks he's in a healthy relationship.

They went for 75 minutes but they had to condense them to under 10 minutes by taking out unnecessary and repetitive content because the old TVs couldn’t hold anything over 10 minutes.
The mondo Houser shows are very short always less than 10 minutes because of the primitive mondo TVs they had back then. The old old old TVs could not hold more than 10 minutes of show as they used CRT Catholic Ray Tubs technology and non Dylan Mulvaney CLT or Claw Technology. No harm no fowl. They tried Dylan Mulvaney to shorten the shows advertising and tried to produce a non racist TV set with Motorola involvement with flypaper control and Dylan Mulvaney CEO.
