  • Welcome to the first full day of my TrekAmerica tour! It was a long day of driving in the bus, with some fun stops all across British Columbia (BC). Our first stop was Bridal Veil Falls, about 90 minutes outside Vancouver. You can definitely tell why it got that name - it looks just like a bride's veil as the water cascades down the mountain.
A while later, we arrived in the gorgeous town of Hope. I would have loved to spend more time here. The Blue Moose cafe has one of the best hot chocolates of my life, and we stopped at Save On Foods to pick up lunch for today and snacks for the rest of the trip.
Next, we had quite a long stint of driving to get to the Log Barn 1912! This was such a random place - they had loads of models of bears, dinosaurs and a huge array of random things. It was fun to look around for a little while and go to see the goats and horses. They had a big gift shop but nothing quite tempted me.
Then it was the final drive into Revelstoke, and the scenery kept getting more and more beautiful. We quickly got to the hotel/motel, got changed and headed to Chubby Funsters for dinner. I had the half rack of ribs and it was delicious! The cocktails also went down really well. I had the 'One Night Stand with a Boyband'!
Slightly less exciting than my other days in Canada, but we were inching closer to the Rocky Mountains and I couldn't wait to get there and explore.

I Love your vlogs Lisa. I saw you found a place for your travel pillow, excellent choice to put it on the handle. Canada looks amazing thanks for taking the time to share this wonderful trip with us. :)

Aw thanks so much, Jesse! It’s super handy putting my pillow around my suitcase but less easy once I’ve checked it in! I usually wrap it around my arm instead haha

The City of Hope is the gateway to the interior of BC where you can take one of three highways ... north, east, and northeast. Trivia: Great Britain can fit within British Columbia 4.5 times. Revelstoke is on the northern edge of the Kootenays which is where I now live. I live about 400 kilometers to the south on the US / Canada border. I am so sorry your travel company has put you through this. I look forward to seeing how it worked out.
