I was hoping you went into where your water is coming from and where it is going
Looking forward to the wastewater plumbing video!
LETS SEE A VIDEO ON HOW YOU WOULD SEAL 2 CONTAINERS TOGETHER!
Chance Claiborne yes totally agree i would love to see how this done to make one big room
I’d like to see that too as I am planning a two story, 2 forty footers for first floor and 3 forty footers for the 2nd floor build, and I know this is posing structural and reinforcement issues and may have to rethink the whole thing.
Here is one for you from a couple building their container home in Texas. czcams.com/video/HDp0FLEvxvc/video.html
This shipping container build series is bar none, one of the best on CZcams. It is well put together. It is a great step by step sequence and the Blake is very entertaining to boot. Good job Blake and his team!
Stupid simple I like it! Appreciate you! Great video!
Dude you're such a dork, I love it
Great video!
really helpful i’m 15 and me and my buddy are planning to use an old container in my back yard and start a project soon
Thanks Ba Lakay. Good Job.
New sub here! Wow you explained the plumbing in such an easy way to understand something that is actually not too complicated.
Love your videos! Just wish you would show more details on your installs
Awesome video by the way loved it
Great video.
I pressed like after the into hahaha that was awesome
6:53 "Dude this is sketchy " 🤣
I'm new to the channel. Love it! Keep up the great work, man. I'm sold already. I definitely want to do a container house, but I'd really love to see a vid on connecting two, side by side.
great channel!!!
Thank you for your support!
Very good information
I have used PEX in my vacation home in TN and my tiny rental home in FL. Love the ease of use. If someone doesn't want to buy the $60 tool, there is always Sharkbite connectors. However, Sharkbite is more expensive so you may pay the $60 you saved from the tool to getting Sharkbites. I just replaced my water heater in my main home and used the Sharkbite water lines to connect to my copper pipes. I don't trust my solder skills, so this works great form me. Thanks for your vids Blake....
Do you have a video on waste plumbing? Where does waste go if you’re not on a property with a sewer connection? Thank you!
Awesome video, you are hilarious.
FYI that looks like a Price Pfister shower valve and if it is the tub port on it is larger than the shower Port so if you install it upside down and plug the shower and run the tub up to what is called a wingback for the shower head you'll get more volume out of the shower head and you can turn the cartridge over to correct the hot and cold
Any chance you can go into a little more detail with connecting all this to the main line, How does one ensure there's water pressure? Thanks!!
Where I live, we have this program called TCA (the career academy, but everyone either says career academy, or CA) and they have biology, chemistry, engineering, nursing, home construction & engineering, and childcare. There's a couple more classes, but I'm gonna take home construction and engineering.
You look like you could use a shower.
Since your sweating.
Good thing your making one.
Hey excellent stuff but I need your guidance on how to insulate for cold weather like in Canada please
Don't forget the temporary plastic tube fitting that goes into the shower head thread to keep garbage out of the threads and indicate where the drywall needs to be cut
Could you explain connecting the plumbing to the city sewer and septic system?
Hi, can you make a video showing where the water is coming from? Thank You
That's a nice door behind you bro. How you install it? :)
Do you have a video on running your sewer line and drain lines.
We are thinking of building our own home and have been thinking of using copper for our plumbing...would this be better and more durable?
I'd really like to see the drain venting video for the shipping container, if you made one!
Shepherd Haight we didn’t but we will make one on our new build! Started it yesterday so stay tuned!
@@ContainingLuxury did you ever make this video? I couldn't find it on the list.
Nice video bro, hey are there stailees steel shippong containers? and how mich does a normal corten steel house last in terms of years? Thaks
How does the waste transport Work?
i) Does the waste drain away in sewerage like normal houses?
ii) Or Does it require a waste holder or something like a portable toilet?
I’m not familiar with the steel structure under the wooden floor in a container like this, how are you protecting the pex from damage if you were to relocate the container? Put a different way, if you wanted to move this after construction does that mean you will destroy the supply and waste plumbing?
I'm curious about plumbing on a slab foundation.
Yes I'm curious too.
Yeah me too
You are so cute!!!!!
Did you ever create one for the waste water?
Any insight into connecting stacked containers? Im placing a 20ft container on top of one end of a 40 ft container looking out on an upstairs deck on the remaining 20ft of roof space. Im a total newb so please help lol
Because you have metal studs when running the tubing through these do you add some type of O-Ring to keep the metal from cutting through the tubing?
From my personal email because tyler restricts my access haha! Just kidding... ok so yes if you had 3-5/8" metal studs you can use the factory holes pre cut in them and they sell plastic grommets that will protect the pipe (plumbing supply house or home depot). In our case we were using 1-5/8" metal studs which are too shallow to place plumbing lines (for code) so we actually do not have any plumbing lines running through our walls, all plumbing supply lines are ran underneath and stubbed up to each fixture through the floor. we chose to do this just incase a pipe bursts or something random happens we can easily access and repair anything right from the bottom of our container build. So that is the longest "Yes" use plastic grommets to protect the pipe when running it through the studs!
@@bmadgett85 if all the plumbing is ran under the floor, are the pipes insulated below the floor or is this a warm climate building...?
Where are you putting the water heater?
just bought a 40 ft container. Please send link on plumbing to sewer please
Where do you keep all your containers and does anyone give you issue with working on your containers?
How about some sort of video for an alternative way of the exterior?
What else can you use?
What powers everything? Hot water ect?
"Shower valve". Lol
all you r plumbing should go out the sides with cam lock connections
What about plumbing on a slab foundation or one with little to no space between container and foundation?
That's my question too.
What R rating is that form board you used?
... aber rechtsgewinde verpackt man im Uhrzeigersinn !!!
....but right-hand thread is packed clockwise !!!
Is there a reason you used this home depot tubing and not the better rated kind from a plumbing supplier?
Pax or is it Pex! HA!
Where’s a reputable place to purchase your shipping containers?
Video dope but more detail would make it lit...(measurements of standard shower runs, heights, lenghts...technicals..but good shit....
Can u use the shark bite fittings on pax?
I wish he showed us how to cut off those damn fittings when you f****up
you have the shower valve piped backwards...the cold pipe enters on the right and the hot pipe enters on the left as you are facing the valve as if you were using the shower. Also why didn't you just install a 1/2" brass plug in the bottom port instead of an adapter, two crimping rings, a short piece of pipe and a crimp plug? the more joints that you have, the greater the chance of a leak. you would be better off learning to sweat copper...rats and mice like to chew holes in PEX to get a drink.
I came here to see if anyone else noticed. The way I've been told "hot on the left, cold on the right and poop don't run uphill". But good video other than that.
Algorithm!!!!!
Cold is supposed to be on the right side of your shower valve
You are 100% correct! We noticed it was backwards when we were editing.
came here specifically to see how they did the sewage -.-
You would not need that expensive tool, you could have used Jubilee clips.
How are we supposed to know how to do it when you skipped an the steps showing us how??
Great video, but for anybody watching do your research. The gripping system that he uses have a large failure rate. Sharkbite makes the gold standard as far as Pex connections go.
Hell no, after teflon use pipe dope, most important is holding the channel locks the correct way.
Use the expansion battery operated tool st same price. Comes with plastic rings so much easier. Im surprised you didn't use shark bite fittings.
its called a drop eared ell not a dog eared ell.
