  • I touched briefly on the p250 in a previous discussion centered around my experiences with the Sig p320. I got several PM's based on some comments I made during that video. Seems that alot of people out there have either never heard of the p250, or that they tried one a decade ago and hated it.
I'll try and break down some of the pro's and con's around the gun. Short answer: they are great for what they are! They are reliable double action only guns marketed towards the CCW crowd and police departments. They were never touted to be the next greatest IDPA/USPSA/3 Gun double stack.
I even ventured out into the icy tundra on northeast Nebraska to fire a magazine (slow fire) at 42-45 yards on some steel. Ammo used was a cast 120gr tc bullet at +p velocity I loaded up for the MP5.
***Note: The wide angle view of my GoPro made my shooting lane look very narrow! There is plenty of space between my equipment and the barn to safely shoot at steel (about 90 feet between any vehicles and the barn). Don't PM telling me how irresponsible I am for shooting near a building. It's my barn and my responsibility to not send a round into the building....
Seriously, I made numerous hits on a 4" gong at 40+ yards...I think my barn 70' off to the side is pretty safe.***
