Took me years to find the right LP. The right top, the right weight and tone. It was a much newer Gibson. Then had Virgil arlo wind some pickups for it, before he retired. It’s my dream LP, for sure, but I play mostly tele’s today. Clean country/ Bakersfield tone, overtook my live of rock stuff.
I appreciate that man, thank you. It’s what comes naturally to me the second I left my last job, I started hustling, doing 10 different things, and just doing what I do. I know this stuff..I’ve been ordering the hats for the shop for so long, it’s like I was doing it all long, anyway. The way I feel is this.. it costs just as much to make a black hat as it does to make something more fun and indulgent. Why not give the hat wearers EXACTLY what they want, instead of black, grey and brown? It costs the same on my end, and it enriches the hat community as a whole.
I don’t think so, maybe I will start selling my line to stores, and selling them in some hat shops.. I opened and closed a shop for my entire adult life, I might have had enough of that for one lifetime. I plan on getting some help with this hat line, marketing, branding, website, photos, and eventually I’d like to start selling directly to consumers through my website and I’d like to hold some events each year where I can display my hats and sell them in person, maybe at a local hat shop.. but no. I’m done w that.. I don’t want a hat shop of my own.. but I’ve considered opening a holiday kiosk on fifth Avenue near JJ’s. there’s some cool Kiosks you can rent on 32nd st and 5th Ave, on their corner.. if you’re lucky enough to get one it looked like fun, having a little holiday hat shop for November-December
I don’t think so, there’s none left in NYC. The last few years they were here, they were solely used as places for people to hide themselves behind while they were doing drugs or pissing. They all stank, they were sticky, defaced and nobody used them. Finally, they took them out.
I really like the New Yorker, but i don't know how it would look on me. I'm 5'5", and 155 lbs. Would the nostalgia be a better look? What are the dimensions on that? Thanks.
The New Yorker can be done with a 2 3/4” brim if you prefer. I made one with the shorter brim and posted pics of it on Facebook today. KTG Hats & Also my Instagram, hats & guitars .. That’s a center crease with ribbon brim binding that matches the felt. The Nostalgia is a teardrop crown, it has a 2 1/2” brim. And slightly more of a 1940’s film noir cut. I highly recommend the olive color, it’s just so versatile and I love mine more every day I own it. That’s a hat I can almost guarantee you’re going to like. I weight 149 lbs and I’m about 5’ 6” so we’re similar in stature. I suggest the Nostalgia, or the Mist Skypiece, if you want the New Yorker, I’d get it with a 2 3/4” brim. I can send you pics of that if you email me kevintoddgerber@gmail.com or quadrogong@gmail.com
I love the look of the New Yorker. So stylish and cool.
Thanks you, me too!! I think when folks see it w the brim down, on an actual person, they’ll all flip out, it’s definitely a winner. Thx so much!
Hats and old caddies my man!!

Thanks for letting me know..thx. I was wondering if that hat should be 2 3/4” wide instead of 3” but it looks so fine. I’m reluctant to change it
Great video.
Glad you enjoyed it, thanks for letting me know!
@@quadrogong1111 I'm hoping that I'll be able to purchase one of your hats in the near future.
What a lineup! All these look great, especially that Starlite!
Was that a pay phone that you stopped next to?
