- Shields are on the rise in R6 and with the new Y9S1.1 update shields just got even better. However, when you're SoloQ shields can be risky, and map dependent. Clash is typically a shield operator in R6 that thrives on spacious maps with not many routes, while Blitz and Fuze are best for close ranged aggression. I never ban shields as hardly anyone uses them. Banning Monty at higher ranks is a good idea for turtle defuser plants.

the other day I had a clash teammate on Kanal defense and he was top of the leaderboard after we went 4-0 with a 2/0/9 KDA versus our top frag's 10/2/something
Bro was crucial and it felt so good to see a proper clash player in copper of all places
Fuze shield allows for extra pressure you can sit in ad doorway or somewhere where the enemy can see you and that they would typically run to to escape your cluster charges but you’re sitting there. They either will run at you and then die or just sit there and die.
His pistol is so good too. Only 9 shots, but super fast reload and surprising damage. IMO, with smokes he makes a better planter than monty since he can hold it down after with explosions.

If your on console I switched my shoot from right trigger to rb and it’s way easier
This probably won't help too much but just kind of shoot randomly sometimes. I mean you have a pretty decent amount of ammo so you don't really need to conserve it. You could also probably go to section three of the shooting range and practice reaction time there
I've always debated becoming a shield main but then you see them in pro league and the casters just cook them and they love saying some variation of "well its just better to have another gun more often than not" and if thats the case most of the time at the very top level I find that pretty telling about shields overall, very very situational.
Mostly situational. If you really learn to play them, you can be more effective than another gun.

I played Blitz on QP for the first time last weekend. Got a couple melee kills, why no melee?
From what I know, if the flashed opponent is smart, they'll melee after the flash and shield break you, which can expose more than just aiming in.
Most people would consider 20HP "one shot"
I also despise this and would prefer an estimate based on the 50HP bar (hint hint).
Against clash one of the best sole counters is just nomad as they get knocked down and thy cant get way and she cant shot you when you can, big brain
I think with this new style of first game of the day goes on the main channel and second goes on the games channel is actually making it so that the games channel is getting the better content. Pox is warmed up and generally better showing what the operators can do in game two. I watch both so it's fine by me, just an odd thing I noticed.
I follow your tips and I still can't rank up. I'll try communicating with my team and they just make fun of me. I play my best and help my teammates when they need it, but when I need support no one helps me.

The fact that ppl calling blitz OP just explains how low their ranks are😂. Blitz is borderline dogshit rn and countering him is ez af. Play lesion and he is helpless, smoke or mute both extremely high pick rate shotguns him once and can just smoke him to death or c4 his ass. Barbwire his path and he is helpless unless spending 10 seconds to simply bash it away, fenrir alone his gadget is enough to ruin his entire push, rook can just shoot him a bit then impact him and he is done for. If he decides to ads you just keep your centre dot on his window plate and he can’t really do shit

I would love to play shields but since the new update I’ve been getting meleed through my shield more than ever and I have too many clips of meleeing someone (with the sound effect and everything to match) just for it to not register and they then destroy me after wards it’s incredibly frustrating
