    Alex you made my day!! was really waiting for that, I'm a 1200 casual player who just started to play a year ago, dont have time to study everything but love your content, so I studied a bit on the jovaba, and learned the caro from you, but I dont have a weapon for d4 as black, being messing around with the slav cause its the most similar to this 2...tnx a lot!!

    Hey Alex just wanted to let you know that I've been following you for a bit of time now and really learning from your content.
    Been using your new Caro Kaan course so far and its very simple to grasp and enjoying the positions I'm getting because of it.
    I am entering my 3rd over the board tournament this year and so far have struggled with black against 1.d4 so this video in specific has been helpful.
    Would you consider maybe updating this Reversed London System/Slav as well to include lines against the Jobava London since you are doing content on that now?

    Hi Alex, I just was in a blitz tournament last night, 5 Swiss rounds, one game as White and one game as Black. Almost all my opponents as White were playing a London or Jobava London! This opening seems to be in fashion now. Good to see this video on how to play against it as Black!
    "We don't take the bishop to highlight the disaster of this game." 😂🤣😂

  • @nklristic
    @nklristic Před rokem +1

    Concerning 2:07, since when is it ok to play Bf5 before taking on c4? White can take on d5 and play Qb3 next, after which he will probably be a pawn up, or he will induce something like Bc8. It will not win a game by itself, but it is not ideal.

    how can this be recommended when cxd5/Qb3, just like scandi gambit joke opening - even after 6..Nc6 7. Qxb7 Bd7 8. Bf4 this scores is 65% for white on lichess - is already +1 aka no compensation. if this is what you recommend your viewers then be my guest

  • @schaduw56

    Game 1: After 1.d4, d5 2.c4, c6 3.Nc3, Nf6 4.Nf3 the move 4...Bf5 is wrong. After 5.cxd5, cxd5 6.Qb3! black must play b6 with a bad position, because 6...Qb6 loses a pawn after 7.Nxd5!, for example 7.Qxb3 8. Nxf6+, exf6. 9.axb3.
    For beginners with black it is important that you know when you can play Bf5 and when not. Here you can play Bf5:
    1 d4 d5 2 c4 c6 3 Nf3 Nf6 4 e3 Bf5.

    • @AlexBanzea
      @AlexBanzea  Před 8 měsíci
