Harvest Mice released into wilds of Northumberland

- We are so excited to release our first native species in Northumberland, a small group of Harvest Mice!
We are proud to be working with Northumberland Wildlife Trust on this project to bolster Northumbrian populations near the coast by Druridge Bay.
Before any release, the animals are subject to a veterinarian examination, ensuring that the individuals are in the best physical condition to have the best chance of survival in the wild.

Those harvest mice are all very sweet.
released some myself today, it is an amazing thing and to watch them discovering the real wild. I kept most of them by pairs and released them with their friend, it is funny how some really stick together and others go separate ways, or how their climb your leg. They are wonderful animals and it is a blessing to know you are doing this work for them. And thank you for the guinea pigs too
