Life is more complicated than your black and white opinion. There are things that OP couldn't know, and it's possible that her father was looking for a lawyer the following days after the wedding. Divorce is expensive, and not everyone is financially capable of getting a lawyer that wouldn't fuck you over.
Honestly, I've ended relationships over way less than that. Respecting your family and not treating them like garbage is, like, one of the lowest of low bars to clear for a partner.

Because an adult misstreating a child can't be a good person or partner. They will screw you over earlier or later as well. And this is exactly what happened here.

Some of these stories feel believable but I’m not so sure about this one. Gigi and Naomi are way too upfront about their intentions. But if it was I worry about OP taking Kyle’s virtues for granted… as perfect of a partner as he seems, she needs to remember he’s also human. His desire not to see her just before the ceremony could be way more than him trying to respect tradition, but even if that was all it was, maybe it meant a lot to him. I’m not big on the idea of marriage, but what if he wanted to see his bride walking down the aisle and he completely dazzled and fully immersed in that moment? She could’ve drastically decreased the joy of that moment for him, by insisting he help her settle a petty conflict.
