still a bit overpriced tbh. still better to find a good auction/exporter.
a bit is putting it nicely
@@blakeslide6919 what would be a good price approx.? new to the car/race game
@@bdnr24 depends on what you want, but 15-20k for cars that have been dogged and have tons of rust but they're japanese is crazy. 15-20k for a *NICE* example is worth it in my opinion and not a bad price. You don't need to be a pro to know what a nice Silvia, cefiro, chaser, or whatever looks like, look for no rust, nice paint, straight pinch welds, stock looking engine bays or a well modified engine that doesn't look like a rat lived in it. If you're looking for just a race car I'd say look at something in the US like a 240sx or Miata, 350z, 370z, G sedans, these are all cars you can get for a rebuilt title for like 5k and probably will still run pretty well, then you can put another 5k in suspension components or what have you.
Google whatever are common problems with whatever chassis you're looking for (Example: s13's rust a lot in the engine bay, frame rails, and trunk area, SR20's are also not happy with tons of abuse and low maintenance)
@@bdnr24 Unfortunately what a good price is and what the price your willing to pay for your dream JDM car are two different things.
A good price is anything below 20k if it's turbo manual. But you could justify spending more if the millage is low and body looks rust free.
Having said that, there is trade offs like:
1) Buy everything you want in one go and no do any work = higher price(25-35k) and less stress.
2) Buy cheaper and mod it overtime. But when you factor the cost of a new body kit and paint, it will probably equal to option 1
3) Buy an auto. They are 60% cheaper than most manuals. You can do the conversion yourself and buy a chaser engine (1j turbo) and gearbox (r154) ain't cheap. So again, prob will cost near the same as option 1.
There is no right answer really.
Damn it Sammit, not one, but two beautiful Soarer and you just breeze past them again, maybe someday you will show them some love 🙏
They hella ugly without body kit
I bought my jzx110 from Freee's and a few of my friends have been buying cars from them for years. I love working with them!
Where?
@skittle2173 not sure what you're asking. Sorry
How much did it cost you to ship it over my friend?
Awesome video as always Sammit. You always keep us informed about car prices because you really care about your customers and subscribers so we don’t get ripped off be sketchy dealership.
Love the content my dude but that chaser ain’t worth 20k 😂
It’s not a stock car
@@Kikerfit i can tell bro lol mods that cover up the cars history such as over fenders and resprays like that takes value away.
@@Nickpeezy94 this car is built for drifting not for street use
@@Nickpeezy94 normal chaser aren’t that far off from 20k anyways
@@Kikerfitthat chaser is a beater!
I felt attacked not knowing the c33 price dammit sammit
Sammit always enjoy these out of the shop exploration vids and seeing the sick cars for sale in Japan I'd be like a kid in a candy store 😆 great work 👍
The baby Mustang 76 celica gt are pretty much my dream car. So nice to see one on that condition.
Not a chance they can keep the ship wrecks.
Always had a soft spot for a31 Cefiros… but I’m getting old and those Crown Athletes are starting to appeal to me ❤
Something I noticed is bmw from Japan are extremely cheap
True men, people rarely drive BMW here
the driver seat in the gs300/aristo are from a gt86!!!!
Came to say the same, I have that exact seat on my sim setup
that soarer has my heart one day 🤞
its so gooooood!!!
my soarer is the same color as ur sc :D
Really kinda sad he didnt even look at it... lol
@@PhosphusNZ i know its like the mild child 🤣
@@frostys_garage we have 3 soarers and everytime i see one in the videos i get so excited but we never get to see them 🥲
The 3 biggest factors causing the sewage spill problem in Tampa are weather, building development & sewage infrastructure. Unpredictable storms & the massive construction boom that has taken place across the Tampa Bay region over the last 4 decades means a lot more water
Alright but who asked bru
@@daxbarker9195 but if you deep fried it twice, it gets crunchier. Add a bit of sriracha and Mayo and you have a whole meal. But the rain won't stop until next morning, so make sure you're out there to mow the lawn and maybe had some lug nuts but don't use a torque wrench.
@@trcs3079 Sriracha, I like sound of that😁
can’t lie that radiator looks TIRED in that chaser for 20k imo should have an aftermarket aluminum rad for that price even if it’s second hand
and that breather hose is an actual water hose lol
I'm definitely hoping one day to use Beforward to import an Evo V or VI. Gotta get a shop built out back after the house is paid off first.
That purple soarer was sick should have showed more on that
In NewZealand these boys are selling Toyota chaser 1gfe auto for 10 - 15k
30k-40k for a manual jzgte chaser
Skylines in rusty horse condition are thousands ..
Really really shit
Just trying to get back into a nice 90s jdm is getting tough now. Sad
I'm finding the same, for the pricing of 90's jdm cars there's alot more appeal to euro cars, not to mention they are often cheap to get big power out of.
That was a brz seat in that aristo
That soarer
Love these type videos. I prolly want ever got to Japan. Cool to see it through your eyes.
such a cool little shop! love these kinda videos
Im from nz and the cerifros rbs and Silvia's etc use to be dirt cheap now they are expensive asf back in the early 2000s ypu could get an cerfiro for under 2k easily
Sam, thank you so much for your hard work every day to bring us this interesting to watch clips so often the week ❤❤❤
That red Altezza and the Miata (NC Roadster) look really nice. Not even mentioning the Soarers and Aristos.
Looking at these engine compartments is like a time warp back to late 00s for me 😊
That soarer is sick
Out every channel on CZcams yours will always be my favorite. As a young father myself I’m always stressed and your videos bring me a lot of peace and happiness my dream is to move my family to Japan! Much love to you and your family Sam 🩷
Im surprised there are any cool cars left in Japan with how many get exported.
Not many ev's around in the dealerships....
Super rare wing on the red S14 - I have one on my silvia, only ever seen one other example. Cockpit Tatebayashi. Identified in a 1994 Carboy Silvia Magazine.
I would take the black aristo hands down
That purple soarer 🔥
A31 cefero selling for around $20k -$60K TTD depending on the build
Ooo had this on my mind recently, eager to see this one 😊
Dang I got so lucky when I got my FD I only paid 15k about 18k shipped
I need thatcrown estate wagon. The wagon is fire
Meanwhile, everyone in Australia trying to sell their bog stock Chasers for like $40k+
As an Australian with my nostalgia I love 32 skins 33s S13 180sx all the other stuff is too modern for me. I love this stuff at first came over from Japan. My first car was R32 and my best mate Dad wanted to beat me so he got my best mate Shane and R32 gtr best memories of our lives will be blind another one soon
The cars over japan is hella lit and honestly i really admired
There are definitely at least 5 cars from FAC that I’d love to own.
Wouldn't trust any of these cars tbh
Would of love to see the c35 laurel both of them
I’m moving back to Japan in 18 months and I’m bringing my 2009 Pontiac GT G8. It was imported from Australia it’s a holden Commodore badge as a Pontiac GT M8.
My favourite car is a Celica, please continue with such videos
Sammit Drift Dildos and Drift Nipples huh 😂 I'm dying
That GS is super clean. That car is 27/28k in the states
I like the Cefiro and Aristo but I'm fom New Zealand so that's probably expected. I have also always wanted a TA22 Celica, sick shape!
3:29 dam that missile worth 20k?
You dreaming bruv .
sam im that voice in your head. buy the red s14 😂
Sorry but these prices are just insane😅 Nothing reasonable about it. Really not a good representation of what prices are like in Japan. Feel like this shop is pretty overpriced…
Tbf, unfortunately, they aren't far off other dealerships if you actually look online. A lot of cars on geonet are between 15-45k for a manual turbo version of any models sammit spoke about.
The market will correct itself eventually. This car culture has been created by the working class, so hopefully it will come back down so working class people can afford them. I know very few people who can spend 30k on what essentially is a project car
The a31 and c33 my favorite
My fav was the soarers that you completely skipped 😢
bro the soarer ❤
Junkyard Chop Shop !
Hard PASS !!!
Rust free relatively low mile cars that all have titles. Don't really see an issue.
Im Learning Japanese and the exchange rate is WILD! Lol
Thank you for sharing!
The driver's seat in the Aristo is out of an 86/BRZ.
Have you heard of a Japanese man that build a privet race track in the mountains of japan??
Wish I lived in Japan I would be in JDM heaven.
Aint gonna lie id take home that red zenki with a heart beat.
My dream is to own a soarer and I’m saving up as we speak. Soon man soon
Crown wagon dream car
I'd like the red 86, the purple soarer and the black crown wagon please and thank you!! 😂Put it on my tab Sam, thanks!😂
that seat in the aristo is a stock frs seat
GTR86 seat in that aristo
Want to do a manual swap for my Aristo. Few good options to choose from, but most people seem to go for the cd009s over the r154s cause you know too well they like to go bang under heavy load.
But my dream would be 8hp swap with electronic clutch pedal wired in.
Im not sure if you can but here in Asia where I work a Cefiro A31 is around 7k AUD cheap as chips. Some have a RB20DE and others are swapped with a RB25DET for a just a few bucks extra.
Where can I find those s chassis rust panels in the engine bay? my c35 laurel has rust past the strut tower.
Damnit I knew he wouldn’t look at the soarer 😢
A low klm R34 in America is over 200 grand
Then yen rate went from 160ish to 140ish for US dollar….
Damn 16k for a na s15 that’s rusting? That seems a little crazy when you can get a 350z or e36 or e46 etc, in the states and build it to be a full on drift car for 15k-20k. These cars don’t seem like they’re priced that good for anyone who’s looking to get into drifting.. Not everyone is rich enough to blow 15-20k on a car to then build it and drift it on top of normal life expenses. Just seems like a lot for a car that’s gonna get thrashed and you don’t daily drive etc.
Oooh sammit code is back on for beforward, boys!
More of these videos at auctions and car dealerships
You need to be honest: these prices suck. They're much cheaper at auction. And that s15 needs extensive work. I know it's difficult to sh*t on cars while dealership employees are watching you, but damn...
Love these type of videos
Omg, the panel gaps…
The aristo twin turbo
The S14 but I have soft spot for that car
Love the black toyota aristo
15k for a type s old car with rust... Madness these jdm car prices are. You look at manufacturers from different countries (which are just as good and less rust) are quarter the price 😂)
beforward is also overpriced and sketch. not many reviews out there for them and the only ones seem to be "they sent a rust bucket and didnt mention it"
Lots of damaged repaired cars on Beforward with dodgy paint and rusty underneath. Usually not mentioned in the description and there are no or very poor quality pictures.
I only trust the auction sheets. Their inspections tend to be very accurate. Once you know how to read the sheets, you know what to look for.
I bought a c33 laurel and the auction sheet said it had two scuffs on the bumper and no rust issues. When it landed it was mint. Two small scuffs were the biggest issues and chassis was perfect. Better than I expected.
While I have heard of numerous dealerships sending junk to people
@@markf4258 same with my Toyota. It was actually graded very harshly as when it it came it looked it better condition than described by the auction. Only issue was an exhaust rattle that wasn’t mention but all it was was a broken clip that was fixed in less than 10 mins
@@stevegonzales527 exactly, and when you compare cars selling on auction vs cars on dealerships you are getting a far better price on auctions. The dealers inflate the prices and then add their own fees in.
I don't I'd ever buy from a dealer unless I had someone on the ground who I can vouch for to inspect it
judging from no reaction sammit on the comments, japan economy is crashing and your in a panic now?
Love the daily uploads!
really wanted to see the c33😂
I want to see a Nissan Leopard
i was about to buy that red soarer, shi is so clean
Not much differnce from.what they cost locally . A s14 that needs a bit work goes for 20 k cad with the same mods.
Why take a risk buying a car unseen, unkown services , mostly some diy body work , need atleast another 5 k to be road worthy and last high chance getting damage durring shipping.
So much headaches to import one when u can buy one locally ans see it in person and judge for ur self if it worth buying.
Too.many stories abt people.importing cars which they thoighy was a good deal to end up getting screw over.
Gimme that Aristo. I'll settle for a Lexus GS300 let's be real though.
Good content. But these car are similar priced in the US if not cheaper.
I hope you've bought May an RX-8 for this Thursday.
Gotta get a c33 before they go up in value
1:27 Um that’s a Sil80
That chaser has a FRS seat
12:55 Arrrrrrraaagh Here we go again 😅
The s14. Would be a bargain in Australia now at 16 grand
But I wish it was
for someone to get into drifting for the jzx i dont think so bc if u finna spend 20k. i have a mini truck welded diff low power and i do just fine didnt even spent 10k on parts for my shit
bro i been living here 2 years now and i wanna get into drift culture in japan. ive attended afew meetups, saving up to get my own drift built 350z and maybe attending a drift school. how did you get started?
I watched this whole video and you skipped over both Soarers that are for sale. Why?
