Would have liked the 16:10 of the Legion, but honestly the keyboard looks like crap and the numpad would be so annoying, the actual useful part of the keyboard not being centered because of it. Hi, I'm an architect student.. Generally i use, autocad, revit and Adobe suite, so i use the CPU most of the time instead of Gpu. Do you suggest to buy this vivobook 16x or the dell inspiron 16?
Title mistake: it is Vivobook PRO 16X. I would also emphasize that USB-C in this Asus does not support PowerDelivery (only in Intel model) and does not support Display Port. In addition, it is not possible to disable iGPU - HDMI (the 10-year 1.4 standard) is not connected directly to the GPU, which in the case of rendering larger projects, e.g. in Blender, prevents the use of GPU acceleration.
It is, though adding the extra characters makes the title too long, and as far as I can tell there isn't a non pro version anyway :) I mentioned it can't be charged over Type-C and that there is no DisplayPort over Type-C, and that HDMI goes to iGPU.
@@JarrodsTech Yes, I know :) But there are a lot of non-PRO Vivobooks (which can be confusing) and what's more I find it ridiculous that the Vivobook PRO (targeted for PROfessionals: calibrated screen, dialpad etc), due to the lack of direct video output and a bottleneck in the form of iGPU with a small amount of shared VRAM cannot be used for professional applications and e.g. the above-mentioned larger scenes cannot be rendered in Blender with GPU acceleration :D
i was thinking of getting this laptop, but now i'm slightly confused. does the fact that hdmi port is connected to igpu only affect professional work with graphics and video editing? or would external monitors not be able to benefit from dgpu period?
@@Noble_Isaac it's great that you have a Lenovo, but I wrote about the Asus Vivobook Pro 16X. In these laptops, Power Delivery is working only in Intel models, not in AMD. And it is not a matter of the processor, but of Asus that implemented PD only on Intel models.
Well, how will it compare to a gigabyte aero 15x oled? Right now its $1600 but I've seen it drop to $1300 at times. Seems like a better machine overall considering its 105w 3060. Price will play a key factor for this asus vivobook.

not surprising at all
its a vivobook-lower class in Asus' laptop lineup
so i guest asus cut the extra ssd slot on purpose so if users want to upgrade more, they gotta have to buy higher class in lineup like the Zenbooks
@@dungbuiviet7167 no..just plug an ssd drive in the side
How does this compare to a MacBook pro m1max 16"?
As usually your content is the top. But brother, why didn't you show us Asus ROG strix g15 with 3060 for example
Will u do a review of the omen 16 i7 version
Please test Asus Vivobook 14X for us. I'm very interested in this model. Thank you, love your chanel.
Review 14X intel version please😄
I wish the Pro 14x was available with a rtx 3070 and better IO!
Hdmi directly connects to igpu or dgpu (3050ti) ?
dgpu
Is there option with 3060?
I want the 15 inch version but not about the wifi
Can anyone help me with a photoshop issue using this version of the ASUS Viviobook? When I open a photo from camera raw into the workspace in photoshop all the colours are muted - it’s driving my crazy trying to work out the issue 😢😢😢
Still the best reviewer.
Hey Jared can you do a review for X17
I'm not sure it will happen, unfortunately I haven't been able to get one.
@@JarrodsTech oh yeah, i forget its Dell. lol
I feel like if you arnt going for gaming this is pretty good
I have this laptop 16 inch what is the problem as was The Scream
Yes please, that´d make a nice mobile DAW!
Please compare with lenovo Thinkbook 16p Gen2
Is it good casual gaming?
Can we upgrade its wifo card?
Heyy pls pls do an Alienware x15 review
It's HDMI 1.4! Then it can't project HDR through it to TV or a HDR Supported monitor
can someone help me? When jared says you can't bypass the iGPU with an HDMI - does this mean when I play games the monitor will only display graphics generated with the integrated graphics ( i.e not the 3050 ) ??
No, the Nvidia graphics will still run the game, but the display signal goes via the iGPU - exactly the same as if you're using the laptop's screen to run the game. It's just that most laptops have HDMI connecting directly to Nvidia, which removes the iGPU bottleneck and can boost FPS in games.
