do you decide to be marsoc or force recon, or do they chose for you. Sorry I'm only 14, but I want to be a marine after I get my diploma.
I’m 14 as well, if you’re still that age.
For MARSOC you can join at free will, notifications will pop up multiple times a year if someone would like to apply to A&S (assessment and selection: note you will have ITC if you pass A&S which teaches you how to become an operator) also the majority of Marine raiders are former recon/ Force recon.
Force recon however is different, you have to pass BRC (basic reconnaissance course-MOS: reconnaissance man) then after completing BRC you will most likely have to wait for some years to gain more experience and knowledge. I sort of forget but I think Force recon chooses you.
