So excited to see how far our teams come since the mid 2000s. We could possibly go undefeated this 2022 season. First time in a long long time wev had an actual heisman type QB with talent all around
The Akron game started the concerns for the team as showed cracks that grew as the season went on going 7-6. The Akron game was leading up to the 7-6 season right after looking so good in the ND game. I don’t know how we went from playing so good with a high level of talent to playing sloppy and losing consistently in the second half of the season.
Anthony Baratta Shane Morris was garbage lol. If Gardner was used correctly he could’ve been so effective , he wasn’t recruited to run a pro style offense
In 8 years, UConn went from being a Power 6 team (Big East/American was a Power conference in the BCS era) that could host Michigan to cancelling entire seasons and losing games to FCS Holy Cross.
Whos had a worse decade than UConn football? From Winning a BCS Conference in 2011 and hosting Michigan in 2013 to no bowls since 2015 and getting kicked out of a mid-major conference by 2020.
Nah. This was 2013. The “darkest days” were five years previously- arguably six, if you recall Michigan’s loss to App State in 2007. But 2008 was truly…a year…for Michigan football. I attended every home game that year. Including the one vs Toledo.
I never watched this game because I was in Chicago for a funeral and after it was over we all went back to my uncle’s house and drank beer. After watching this highlight video I’m glad I never did because I would have been screaming at the TV
Pause at 10:34. Michigan down 21-7, with 5:48 to go in the 3rd. Gardner had just thrown an awful pass on 1st down. And then on second down...boom. Just like that, the game shifted. Prior to that Fitz run, I remember that moment very well at 10:34, watching this game live. It truly felt like there was zero hope.
I can't bash Gardner too much. Kid fell a 2 point conversion shy of beating OSU after playing an entire half with a broken foot. He had guts and with a decent coach may have been special but he had horrid coaching and fell apart. He was a shell of himself just like Morris was at the end.

Look at how slow Michigan looked.
I don't even remember this game and I'm a huge UM fan
Same 🤣🤣
I think all of us huge UM fans involuntarily wiped our memories of the richrod/hoke eras
It was this game that confirmed our fears that the Akron game wasn't a fluke....
AtrHoliday shoulda gone to Shane-Mo right there after the first int and moved him back to WR...

There was also times in the season where we looked like we were back on track like the Minnesota game and Indiana game the offense was explosive.
I worked OT on 3rd shift and had this game on the TV. All of my xsu friends were the biggest uconn fan's I have been forced to be around. Hail

I think it was less about uconn being good as it was michigan being bad. The richrod/hoke eras were painful.
Holy Cross 😂

Damn when you put it that way 😂😔.
The Michigan down years 🤦
I don’t even remember this game
Consider yourself lucky
The darkest days at Michigan. A horrifying win…sickening to watch

Gardner was good on his feet, not so much with his arm.
John Walker Gardner came to Michigan at the wrong time outside of Lewan this was the worse O line in Michigan history
@@Vonp_ agree 100%
@@Vonp_ but almost all of them are in the NFL
He was pretty outstanding versus a quality Notre Dame team in that same season. He was just wildly inconsistent.
Damn this game was horrendous our defensive speed was terribly slow

I miss the old Saturday night football intros. And announcer Brent musberger
The Adidas era was the worst in the program's history. I still blame them for all the bad juju.
CMON why should u upload this I don't need to be remeber of this one to
My God Hoke was ass as a coach. He was complete crap. So glad he's gone
eh to be honest gardner was also awful. Akron started his downfall as well as the downfall of michigan

that's fair. Hopefully Patterson is better
Vinayak Swaroop Patterson is already proven
I went to bed at 21-7. Yeesh. I was like 9
8:30 ref sounds like Lois Griffin
I love the berserk intro
We should still have Greg Madison as our defensive coordinator instead they hired Don Brown
Uconn
Refs wanted Michigan to win so bad 💀
EMINEM!!!
Good times!!
