Begging is now the order of the day in Lagos. Not just amongst hoodlums and homeless destituent, but amongst salary earners and company workers, responsible looking people who have turned themselves into corporate beggars. You'd be surprised at how many company workers treck to work everyday. An immense number of them turned up during the Naira scarcity era of 2023.
Nigerian's are truly "scavenging" like you said @adamslinkmedia. Government "giveaways" is not what we need in this country. Periodic giveaways are like little droplets of water offered to someone in captive who's never sure about the next one. What we really need are policies that favors the masses, systems that truly work and provision of basic social amenities, like good roads, good medical facilities, stable power supply and good drainage system that would lead to economic growth.
