I am embracing the Torah and finding strength i once lacked in its wisdom and in Jewish culture. I am setting goals again. I am going to get better and better at being Jewish and heal myself so i can use my skills and value to go help heal the world too. I want to help other people tell their own stories. Last names are a new concept that Jews adopted in the past few hundred years while in diaspora. My real name is Israel ben Meir HaLevi. Both my parents and I were born in France, where the "ch" of Rochman is pronounced as "roshman". In English the "ch" is actually pronounced as "rockman". So when my family came to Israel after France when I was 3 and pronounced their name the way they did in France it became written as רושמן in Hebrew.
