a lot of the movements Aurora does, (her erratic hand movements, her eyes opening wide, her head shaking, her head jerking sideways) isn't something she consciously has control over, they are a mix of ticks and expression of emotions as she performs. she isn't always aware of her doing them all, they just happen. some people find it creepy and can't deal with it as it's not "normal" for people to be like that, but it's just Aurora being Aurora, and her fans love them as they are an extension of the emotions she portrays while singing. as i'm sure you noticed, she has a really intense way of portraying the emotions of the song she is singing, and makes you feel what she is feeling. she goes 100% into the song she is performing, and you can often see her be in a trance like state for a few seconds after the end of a song before she is able to shake the emotions of the song off.

Yepp! There you have my soulhealer for 6 years. She is a free spirit like a Nordic mountain stream. and she is 25 years young with a very old soul. This song is one of her most stand-out perfromance but she have so much more to show. She almost sing with a very clear and soft voice but her lyrics is important and deep but sometimes she goes morbid. Thanks for the nice word. I sub you for Aurora reaction.

Aurora is truly amazing - one of a kind. Watching her perform is one of the most emotional experiences, one watches a true artist in every aspect. To me it is still incomprehensible, how well she can control her voice in a live performance. probably never had singing lessons. What a gift to this world, I am in awe (and tears) !

No you cover my music world these days with Angelina and Aurora.
She released a new song this week; Cure for me. She speak up for everybody that feels a little outside mainstream, and her statement in many lyrics is that you are just fine beeing who you are. No need for a cure, and you have a place in her Queendome (Another one of her songs).

    Thx for a reaction.
This is pure magic. She is so great singer, songwriter and very expressive personality from Norway. She has many great songs. I guess she has unique talent to express emotions and pass them to listeners. She is currently 25, but of course she w3as younger then. Also she did not want to be singer, she wanted just to write songs to express her emotions but one of her song was recorded and she was contacted to sign contract. She says no at first but her mothers advised her to sing, as it would be selfish to not share her songs. Anyway you can explore many her great songs and performances with meaningful lyrics.
I would recommend next Runaway (she wrote it when she was 11). It can be life from the same concert (recommended) or official video.
Later I would recommend f.e. Lucky live from Nidarosdomen (she wrote it at 9 or so) and many more :).

before aurora there was and still is susanne sundfor
apparently murder songs are a thing in norway.
here is another excellent one, "silencer" by susanne sundfor. the lyrics dark, the sound bright
Here I stand, with the gun in my hand
Waiting for the water to calm
    The moonlight can barely paint
An aquarelle of coral blue and red
Like the colours of your lover's pretty eyes and hair
    [Verse 2]
Life is just a story to tell
Yours had an unfortunate end, denial, denial
Yet no one heard you but the stars
Through the rain of the sprinklers, a bullet pierced your heart
    [Instrumental Bridge]
    Oh oh la la
    Oh oh la la
    [Outro]
    Your cries and your curses
    Could not protrude
    From the bottom
    Of a suburban swimming pool

She has a heart-wrenching song called Little Boy in the Grass, the live mahogany session is amazing. You can tell she pours her soul into it. I have read it's about a massacre that happened in Norway and one of her best friends died in it, but I don't know exactly, I was just going off of comments (which are usually correct because aurora fans are die hard, haha). What I read was someone shot up a youth camp and her friend was one of the victims, unfortunately.

Your reaction was exactly like I experienced her for the very first time. There is no turning back now and you are in for this fantastic journey where Aurora spreads her mesmerizing colours around and will enchant you. I wish for you to explore her art and music, but wait for a bit to encounter her Nidarosdomen concert she performed in 2017. I think it is the point in her career she fully came to bloom. After that Aurora developed further into a secure and fast producing artist. She has so much to tell in her very specific and unique style. She really has this strong personality and a message to share. I want to congratulate you with this discovery you made.
This song was based upon a drama Aurora had read about in the newspaper concerning a man, loving his wife to death, literally. She was suffering from a fatal disease, really suffering. Together they decided the only way to deal with the situation was to let her go, by shooting her. The ultimate sacrifice from him to her and from her to him, not having to witness her pain and suffering until her final moment. There is a dark sequal to this song written by Aurora from the point of view of the deceased woman's ghost. You will come across this song someday, consider yourself prepared.

Awesome reaction! - I subbed a few days ago when I saw you were doing an Angelina reaction. And now Aurora. Just amazing, Those two are my favourite female vocalists, and they are both Norwegian, just like myself. Based off of your reaction to this performance I know for a fact that you have stumbled upon what may very well be one of your favourite cups of tea, or maybe coffee. I'm pretty sure of it. I saw your reaction to her harmonisation with the male singer, so I think I'll give you a recommendation for your next reaction to her.
Back in 2017 she held a Christmas concert here in Norway, in our oldest and most beautiful cathedral, called Nidarosdomen. That WHOLE concert is just epic, but imo a good way to start is to check out her "Through The Eyes Of A Child". Here is the link : czcams.com/video/ncG9zTzsisE/video.html

The story behind the murder song.
Aurora wrote this song after reading about a "murder" in the newspaper near her homeland. A man killed his wife/girlfriend out of love. She was seriously ill and suffered more every day. He released her from suffering.
The song is sung from the perspective of the woman's ghost. Maybe he killed her with her consent (I hope so) or he made the decision on his own.
You will only find this explanation of this song in one interview with her (unfortunately I don't have a link to the interview and I can't find it anymore). It's not written anywhere else. And usually she doesn't explain her songs that specifically either, because she wants everyone to find their own story in them.
She usually only says to the song it is a true tragic love story that doesn't end well.
It should be said that this News was an inspiration for this song. That doesn't have to mean that the song itself is about it. But since it all fits together, I think so. Of course, it is written in such a way that many interpretations are possible. Just like Aurora actually always does.
To the countdown. Some people say the "killer" is counting down. On the contrary, the song is sung by the victim all the time. For me that means that she counts down herself and than her boyfriend pulls the trigger.
And she knows that he knows that he kills her for mercy. That means they both know. Sounds like an agreement.
Aurora started playing music and writing songs (in Norwegian) when she was 6, and then in English when she was 9. She is a singer, songwriter, composer and producer. Her live performances are extraordinary. She is what you call a true empath, very close to nature and down to earth, highly talented and highly intelligent, always positive and funny. She really does talk to their fans, whom she calls warriors and wierdos. She is an absolute free spirit.
Aurora's movements are partly not rehearsed in her concerts. She is introverted and she shows her feelings through involuntary body movements.
She hates backtracks and, that's why she has a backround singer. Everything about her and her music is real. You get what you see, whether on stage or elsewhere.
Billie Eilish, she started her career because of Aurora. Her song "Runaway" was the trigger.

An interesting experiment about Aurora is to listen to her cut of this at the Nidarosdomen concert, and see how she can reinterpret it in another way that is just as spectacular. Then go listen to the same track non-live off her album and notice that the original non-live take is terrible (worst song on the album). This is a lady you need to hear live, or it's going to be less than what it might have been.
