Omg I know this is late but I was screaming that you were obviously not an alien at my computer screen, and that Dr. Simon Clark was clearly an alien! You were completely right and you were ignored! My sympathy goes out to you!

Some tips for anyone playing deception games with noobs: the good players should NEVER hold back or lie when finding out what team another player is on. The bad guys already have all the information, the only thing it does is slow down and confuse the good players. Simon pretty much outed himself then by hesitating, I'm sure he's clever enough to know that. Also in the end game the bad guys will tend to shout the loudest, again because they have all the information and know when they're close to being discovered or trying to convince the good guys to go with the wrong answer, like Simon and Spiff were doing.
When you start to play with the experienced lot and less noobs things get a lot more interesting. Bad guys can suddenly go quiet when they realise everyone else is doing the work of confusing each other for them, and good guys can be vocal and convincing in an attempt to pull the pace away from the people that they dont trust. Games like avalon, coup, sheriff and werewolf are great. If you want to seem like a good guy the best option you have is to hesitate and fully articulate your reasoning, describe why you think one thing, why you feel the other option is wrong desp[ite it being a possibility, etc. Even if you make some stuff up as long as you talk in a way such that you are openly accepting the flaws in your statement and how you could be wrong, people tend to believe you. They are more likely to follow someone who has slightly flawed reasoning but accepts it, than someone tottally sure of themselves and pushing you to do something for no apparent reason.
Yeah if you are gonna deceive you have to go all in on it. The hmmming and haahing over what to say literally only made sense if he was an alien (or maybe if he was trolling as innocent).
I do the opposite, I get much louder when I'm innocent because most people are easily manipulated. If I don't bully them, the bad guys will. Especially in werewolf where I can generally figure out who it is quickly and its just a matter of convincing people.
In a deception game like werewolf were some roles are more important than others, this isn't always the case, but in this particular instance, I comepletely agree
@@devonwilson8306 no I mean his sort of forceful shout. He speaks calmly and sarcastically when he's normal, and when he's lying he shouts with that droning tone that makes my ears want to explode.
@@bidcs_ mmmm but he totally can he demonstrates this by the fact he was an alien and was being forceful with his voice. I did not say his voice in general was annoying, I said the shout was annoying, which gets the attention of those who he wants to listen to him. It's a genius tactic.

Alex was super suspicious, and Duncan had me going on and off with him while Rythian was the silent type which made me more suspicious of him. In the end, I would have voted for Alex the Rambler and Duncan. The sole reason for Duncan is that he is extremely desperate for someone to believe him, evidenced in the TTT series whenever he is there.
See i didn't get the silent type from Rythian. Every time I've seen him with others he usually is the only one who doesn't over talk people unless everyone is laughing or someone says something that threatens his ability to win the game. Came off as more respectful than the silent type. I don't think he "turtles" but more just thinks about how if he talks will it add or subtract from the situation
Was I the only one who didn't think it was Rambler? He seemed to have the most genuine reaction when hacked. I still got it completely wrong though. I thought it was Rythian and Lewis, and both of them were being ignored although Rythian started to get accused towards the end.
