Your voice would be amazing for some sleep/ meditation clips, I always struggle to stay awake during your videos, so calming and gentle voice and energy! Also, thanks for tips!
Thank you, maybe I need to collaborate with a writer for a new channel, I always love exploring new avenues ❤️
@RedRockingBird you should seriously do that
I am very new to air dry clay, and I have been watching your Chanel for around 6 month or so. I have enjoyed all your videos to date and would like to get started on a project. However, I thought I would have to spend a lot of money on all the different tools that are needed to create certain designs on them. I am glad that I watched this video today, because I was amazed how I can create my own air dry clay tools with all the materials I already have on hand. All I need now is the air dry clay. Thank you for these tips and materials ideas.
Wonderful, that’s the beauty of air dry clay it can be such a simple craft and I always love to use what I have on hand, glad you are inspired 😊 happy projecting

Thanks for sharing! Great ideas on how to make your own tools! I invested in the store bought, and now feel silly! 😁❤️👍🏻
Don’t feel silly at all, you can sure have both, I always love to use what I have, and yes I have other fancy equipment for other things but there’s always so satisfying about the ‘make do’ craft supplies, for me anyway 😊❤️
this was so helpful! thank you for giving out such unique alternatives for beginners! thank you :))
You’re very welcome, lovely to hear you’re inspired thank you 😊
Amazing, so useful! Makes everything less overwhelming and accessible.
Exactly, super accessible, thank you 😊
You really help me stretch my imagination not only for clay ideas but tool and gift ideas. Question: Do you know if air dry clay can be used with a clay extruder? Again, thank you for all you do to help us become better clay artists.
Wonderful to hear thank you, I’ve not tried it, I would hope so, just might take a bit more pressure, I don’t have one to test sorry, thanks for watching and happy crafting 😊
Aw Sarah🤗….
Thank you SO much for yet another fantastic and inspirational video🙏☺…
I LOVE your ‘hello’ necklace👍😁… I’m pretty sure you made it lol…
I would love to see you making a word necklace… any plans for a future video like that?
Take care x
Thank you Jacqueline, happy you enjoyed. I did indeed make this necklace in this video
czcams.com/video/-nkTlucMQ8w/video.html could also make from resin but not sure about air dry clay 🤍
The humble toothbrush , very good tool, you can make slip. you can use as stippling or for flicking and you have the end as a tool as well, gourds for making shapers, ends of paint brushes, also spoons for smoothing, ex potter talking, in my tool box I had kitchen knife, fork and spoon, not for eating, very useful.
Definitely a toothbrush, I always had these in my art boxes too, very useful, love yo stipple 👍 Thank you very useful tips 🥄 🍴❤️
Great and amazing tips and homemade tools. Thank you for so many great ideas.
You’re welcome, thanks for watching 😊 happy crafting
Excellent
Thank you, will you make some?
Ya I will

Hello I love your videos thank you so much for sharing them. How did you attached the foil paper to the air clay? You just put it in the air clay and rolled it? Greetings from Mexico 🇲🇽 City 🌸🌺
A big hello to Mexico 🇲🇽❤️
Yes with the gold leaf I laid it on top and rolled it, the clay is sticky enough to hold it, then add a top coat once dry 😊 thank you
Another great video thank you ❤️ ! I have a question about sandpaper. Does it matter what type/grit you use for sanding Air-dry clay?
For finishing, the finer sandpaper is best so you don’t get scratch marks, thanks, hope that helps
@@RedRockingBird yes it does thanks!
Hi I would like to make a big money box , can you make a one with clay x
Yes, it’s on my list of tutorials for a video, I use a bottle inside x x
Do you have any suggestions for getting this type of air dry clay out of silicone moulds?
I find it pushes out of less intricate molds, it’s something I’d like to show more of yes
Such an excellent video covering so many precious tips and inexpensive solutions with items we usually have at home.
I recently began experimenting this craft and used Fimo air dry clay. It is very soft and easy to work with. However, I was often frustrated when trying to pull it out from the wooden surface I was working on. It would stick and force me to try over again. Will it be because of the nature of Fimo?
I will try other kind of surfaces and see how it comes out.
A side note (question): does Fimo ever harden? It’s been drying for a couple of days and it seems that it will end up somewhat flexible. I started with some small hearts and round pendants that came out very light which is good for this purpose, but perhaps not for other kind of items that might require more weight or a solid look and touch.
Thank you!
Thanks, I’ve not to date tried the fimo version, but I really must, use a piece of baking paper to stop sticking to see if that helps, not my preferred method as it does tend to crease the underside.
Enjoy your creative projects 😊❤️
If air dry then it really should dry, but I’m sure you know if it’s fimo polymer clay then this requires baking
@@RedRockingBird I also thought of baking paper but feared it will create creases and wrinkles. I might try a glass surface ou a tile as you mention in your video.
@@RedRockingBird it mentions “Fimo light” which in fact is quite a pleasure to manage. It is air dry and can be also be baked in the microwave. It might be taking longer to harden because of the cold weather. I will not try to speed up the drying process though.
Thank you for taking the time to respond and giving your opinions.
Look forward to watching more of your wonderful tutorials and beautiful pieces!
@@helenai13 the light air dry clay that I have, that comes in lots of colours is in fact a bit flexible when dry too, it’s very different from standard air dry clay, but also wonderful to work with. Best of luck ❤️
Could you please make some Clay Bells with Air dried Clay. Thank you
Do you mean like for Christmas or like wind chimes?
@@RedRockingBird either really. I did mean Wind Chimes x
I'm looking for a tool to make fur texture so I don't have to individually scrape each line in the clay. I tried using a hard brush but it doesn't cut deep enough
I know your pain my friend don't be scared and just think as if you were in a survival situation and make a tool from what you have, you have clay, make a tool like she did with the wires but instead whatever you can find. Have a practice bit of clay to get your desired effect 😉 maybe this will help im not sure
Yes, just like the score tool I made, I made something similar at the end of the resin pen video I did, where I set the pins together in resin, but as I did here you can use the clay, a small said you could use different thicknesses of wire depending on effect you are after
Hi ma'am hope u well how to make air dry clay at home
hi, you too, thanks, here is my homemade recipe, dont over hear czcams.com/video/ncn9bvdCN2Y/video.html
