The Orkney Four40 is a true classic design, equally popular with those looking for a safe and fun family harbour launch as it is with those looking for a desirable and robust fishing boat.
It’s relatively high freeboard, wide beam and sturdy construction make her a stable boat on the water. But at the same time, it’s light enough and small enough to be easily launched and recovered (even single-handed); it’s super economical to run; it can be towed with any standard family car; and it can be stored in most home garages.
This is a 2015 boat that has been spec’d up to the highest level and presents in as-new condition. Factory fitted with the excellent GRP cuddy cabin it provides great protection from the elements and makes longer days on the water more comfortable. This boat also boasts a comprehensive electronics package with VHF radio and a Garmin GPS Fishfinder. It’s also been upgraded with stainless steel keel band, folding helm and passenger seats, bilge pump, usb power sockets and a full canvas covers pack.
This Orkney 440 (and trailer) has only ever been used in fresh water and the whole package really is as good as new! This model is still in production with Orkney, badges as the Orkney Coastliner 14.
It’s fitted with a Honda 20HP Fourstroke outboard complete with electric start, power trim and tilt and remote steering. It comes complete with the as-new galvanised roller coaster trailer (and spare wheel) which makes towing, launching and recovery a breeze.
This is a cracking package in fantastic condition throughout. It’s a solidly built and capable coastal boat with a high quality finish. It’s easy to use, easy to keep, ultra-low maintenance and a very safe boat for a small family or group of fishing buddies.
