As a non American looking in I was extremely surprised at how straightforward his answers were and also quite surprised at the questioning technique of not allowing him to finish his response before asking multiple follow up questions.
+Gareth Ellis I agree. Some of the questions were worth asking while others, admittedly, were loaded while others were said in such a way that the questions were no longer questions, they were instead posed in such a manner that they came across as statements rather than legitimate questions.

Well Trump just burned him on that jobs comparison! People underestimate this guy's intelligence
The jobs thing was just stupid. People had been out of work so long that they didn't show up on the charts as unemployed anymore. According to that chart if you aren't currently on unemployment benefits you are no longer considered 'unemployed'. It is a cooked figure. Everyone knows it. Trump is bringing people back into the workforce who haven't had a job in a long time. The labor participation rate is what is really important. People working full time good paying jobs instead of part time minimum wage jobs is what is important. The 'employer mandate' in Obamacare forced a lot of employers to only hire part time workers because part time workers are exempt. It really screwed up the economy. It was the only way Obama's economy 'created jobs'. When employers hired more people at lower wages for fewer hours it technically 'created jobs'. Horrible low paying part time jobs that still had no benefits. The 'individual mandate' was a kick in the teeth to people who had lost their jobs, trust me, I know. How would it feel if you lost your job, didn't qualify for obamacare subsidies and after your money ran out having paid for 6 months worth of insurance out of pocket at over $500 per month the government decided to steal another $3000 from you because you didn't have insurance for the whole year? What if you only went to the doctor one time in this period?
When I actually had insurance and could afford to go to the doctor my preexisting conditions have ALWAYS been covered. Since I was a child my preexisting conditions were covered. Why? I always had good insurance. I and my parents paid good money for it. It was a benefit of having a good job.
Does anybody remember before Obamacare? You know, back when people were lying around in the streets with broken bones and lacerations untreated because they didn't have insurance. You remember how people would die from dysentery and cholera and people couldn't get basic healthcare because they didn't have insurance? You know, when diabetics couldn't get insulin because it was a preexisting condition? Oh. None of that is true. It was never that way. Can we go back to the way it was before they screwed it up for everyone?
Only absolute morons think Trump is stupid. You don't get to be a millionaire and President of the United States by being stupid. The million dollars he was given is chump change and I dare anyone to have the success he did on a Million dollars. Most people wouldn't even have the money 3-4 years down the road.

Thanks , it’s my first time to hear somebody who see what I noticed about Trump. He is just smart. That was my assessment from day 1. Few people understand him. Off course , if you can’t get to his level, you will label him otherwise, giving him negative names. The Guy is smart, period. Thank you for your observation. Seems like interviewer wants to fight with President Trump by asking a question then cut into our Presidents reply with another question and interrupt the answer. Then repeat process. Useless to try answering Mr. Ego InterviewerS questions, there seems to be no room for any answeres from President, ONLY ROOM FOR WORDS FROM INTERVIEWER. I WON'T GIVE THIS INTERVIEWER ANOTHER MOMENT OF MY TIME.
The problem is that Trump doesn’t ANSWER THE QUESTION. He distracts and deflects away from the question . Chuck is trying to get him to stay on point, something Trump is awful at. Trump will do everything in his power to avoid valid questions. Because he knows the truth will make him look horrible.

Agreed. By the end of it I think you can see that Trump actually kind of likes Chuck. They both have a job to do and other than the incessant interruptions at the start, I think it was a decent and fair interview.
Although the interviewer did try to put words in his mouth and try to get him to agree to them!! Trump was quick though he was quick on the back end!!

Wow, they actually released the full interview! When you listen to the whole thing it doesn't sound nearly as sloppy, and they actually were able to talk with each other. I have not been a fan of Chuck Todd in the past but this was a good interview.
