    2020-2022 brought about all kinds of “Emergency provisions”. Provincial state of emergency; double state of emergency in Ontario; Emergency Use Authorization (Interim Order); Federal State Of Emergency and use of an unprecedented Emergency War Act for all of Canada. The overuse of these “emergencies” will make it difficult to respect the use of these Acts in the event of REAL EMERGENCIES. Our governments have become a joke….

    So my understanding is that the emergency measures act isn't actually in place until the Governor General has had a chance to review and approve it. So how are they able to take these measures before the act is in place?

      I just googled and found this: "The Act reads: “If a motion for confirmation of a declaration of emergency is negatived by either House of Parliament, the declaration, to the extent that it has not previously expired or been revoked, is revoked effective on the day of the negative vote and no further action under this section need be taken in the other House with respect to the motion.”
      Therefore, I think the Act has been invoked and is in force, but a vote in the House may revoke the Act.

    This is unlawful action since emergency measure has not yet been voted on in parliament and passed by senate. Banks should not be acting on anything right now. How is this upholding freedoms especially since there is no due process or legal adjudication.

    If you have to do anything to restore canada wide public order you might want to look into the issue instead of ignoring it entirely. Also there was 6 vehicles in the new convoy and it was like 300 km away. With so many important points of interest being ignored it makes me wonder if you are just telling half truths.

      I think you are talking about the vote that is needed to uphold the emergency act, it needs to happen within 7 working days of the declaration. A bit of an issue is that the house is about to go on a break so no one is really sure how to handle this, if they decide to treat it as 7 working days then there won't be a vote till the 23rd. (Also the vote is almost certainly going to be in favor as the NDP has basically committed to supporting it).

    The Emergency act should be turned towards you who invoke it. Because you’re the only threat here. These protesters are peacefull, and will go home and live there lives as soon as you allow them to do just that. So drop all Mandates and restrictions for everyone, and all will be back to normal. Oh and also we need a new Leader who is for Canadians, not against.
