I literally tried your technique the second I got done watching your video and...IT WORKS!!! I never paint my nails because it always looks so sloppy, but now you have changed that and made it possible for me to be a part of the beautiful manicure world!! Thank you thank you!! So...I didn't think this technique would make that big of a difference for me--but WOW, it really does. This polish stays on my nails really well but it was super streaky and gross looking the way I was painting them. Tried this--magical! ;) They look way better. Thanks for the tutorial!

This is one of my favorite polishes. I love them! The brush is probably my favorite brush ever, it's so easy to manipulate. Every single color I have is creamy and opaque, it goes on really smooth. Great video!

I'm so excited that you did a video on these polishes!! I feel like I've been the only one that's been telling everyone they need these in their life!! I just wish the dry time was faster but other than that these are the best (from the drugstore) they always last more than a week before chipping and people always think it's a professional mani. I'm addicted!
You have such fabulous nails Dani!! Also, for you guys who have problems with chipping for this polish, try lightly buffing your nails and cleaning with alcohol before applying the polish. This will help it stay longer!😊

I started doing the Dani method of painting my nails and I've gotten SO much better at painting them. Thanks Dani! I also have eggshell nails that peel. I love the Sally Hansen Hard As Nails line and just got my first gel from her. I love both formulas and I can easily say they a both holy grail products.
I love this nail polish! I'm a mom and there's a lot of washing dishes, cleaning, bathing etc & I find that the color lasts very long and doesn't chip. ❤️❤️❤️

Hey I'm having some issues.. after the top coat is dry I'm going on about my day and I'm getting dents in the pain! So like the top coats are dry but not the bottom ones! Despite having waited 10 mins after to putting the 2 layers 😭

I like Sally Hansen polish but it doesn't last that long for me. My new holy grail polish is by defy & INSPIRE. It's a new brand exclusive to Target. It is AMAZING!!! I use a base coat (Formula X) and then apply. I don't even need to use a top coat and it lasts forever without chipping. They have gorgeous colors as well. Highly recommend. 👌🏻💕💅🏼

I can't wait to try this technique. I'm a cosmetology student and I have really shaky hands. Applying polish has been the most difficult for me. I haven't heard of any technique to give me more control until now so thank you so much!
How long does it usually take each layer to dry for you all? It seems to take FOREVER for every layer to dry for me.
I use a battery-operated portable nail dryer you can get at Wal-Mart for under $9.00.
jpopdubber for me the first layer takes me about 5 minuets
I us a uv light it works in like 1 minute

I just bought this today and I'm about to give a try. I hope it's as great as you have expressed. Polishing with left hand is always the most difficult part.

Why won’t mine dry? The colors are beautiful but I followed directions and the miracle gel, 2 hours later was not dry.

The only thing I don't like about the top coat is that when I use it, it almost picks up the color polish onto the brush. So it almost wipes away...

i really love the sally hansen gel polish. but as a college student, its a bit pricey for me.. so i substitute cheaper ones... but this polish is BEAUTIFUL. perfect shades and it really does have the wonderful gel-like quality and shine!!
I use this product, but I didn’t remember if the color was one or two coats, so I watched the video! Never seen you before, but I love your energy!
What I like about this polish: it comes in a ton of beautiful shades. It doesn't peel like traditional polishes. That's a huge problem I encounter with other polishes and I will sit and peel it all off for fun, which means my nails are left weaker than before and now I have to redo my nails (and start the whole paint and peel process again!).
What I don't like about this polish: having to sit and do 3 layers. I honestly think some of my shades look better with just 1 coat, but I go ahead and do 2 and then follow up with the topcoat. I also find that by day 3 my nail tips are chipping. You can get away with this if you're wearing a light shade but if you're wearing a darker shade then it's noticeable and looks terrible. Usually by day 3-4 I remove it all and start over.
I am an opi and Essie lover w/seche vite as the top coat but you convinced me to get this today. Loved the application. Dry time was not an issue (I don't polish as fast as you) and I LOVE the brush. Will see how it wears this week.
I recently tried this nail polish and I love it. I have so much nail polish but this is all I want to use now. I always chip my nails so easily and this lasted me a week I was surprised I really didn't have high hopes for it but I'm pretty happy with it.

I really love the Sally Hansen gel polish, Totemly Yours is my fave! It's on my nails non~stop because it's the perfect neutral for my skin tone. I use the Glisten and Glow topcoat (Thank You!) instead of theirs though😳. I still have amazing results... Go at least a couple of days without chipping, which is HUGE for me!!!💅🏼
What’s the blue called you showed up? I’ve got this it’s so nice & shiny it also lasts long and I agree you do thin layers not thick as it can bubble wipe as much of as possible then add a top coat then in a few days add another top coat layer.

I must say the i was pleasantly surprised at how much i loved this formula. As a collector you know we can work with anything but I'm impress with how easy this polish is to use. idk how i feel about the top coat tho. It did last on my test but i didn't like it that much for lasting shine.

I bought a bottle of this stuff a year or two ago when RachhLoves recommended it and I LOVE IT. It's the only "non-UV" polish that actually lasts more than a few days for me.

I just purchased the color 789 Get Mod (white) and I did 2 coats and it did not cover my nail completely. I added a 3rd coat of white and it started to come chip/dent before adding a top coat. Any tips for this white color?
I noticed that with this polish it’s best to go over with your second color coat quickly and not let it dry because if you let it dry it starts to get clumpy
For me, it doesn't matter the brand or base or top coat, everything chips on me. But I don't care, I change my nail polish every other day anyway lol. I personally love the wide paddle brush on Sally Hansen's polishes, too!
You have beautiful nails. I have short nail beds, so I have to grow mine pretty long for them to look good.

I love this nail polish! I have OPI, Essie, Butter London, and Chanel polishes. I actually like this more. The brush is awesome. I have never used this top coat; I always use Seche Vite. I'll have to give it a try.

Dani, I ask you, NO, I beg you to try the Healthy Hoof cream. I had just as you have brittle thin nails. After less than a month of use I saw a huge difference!!! Not only does it strengthen my nails, it severely moisturizes the cuticles. I use it every single day before I go to sleep, I take a very small amount (I saw somewhere that it can also go the other way around and dry your nails if you use it twice a day but ya never know), a little does go a long way. I massage it into my nails while watching some youtube vids, put on some hand cream and go to sleep.

the only issue I had with this and why I stopped using it was because it would stain my nails. yes it did last and looked amazing but when using a color like red you would still see a stain on my nail after. idk if I could go back to it.
@coffeebreakwithDani how long does it take to dry? I tried the top coat once and it never really dried down :/ I was confused and wondered if I did it wrong. Do you top the gel one with a quick dry?

This nail polish is none of the things claimed. I have been using this nail polish for 6 years and I thought I was just clumsy but I just switched over to OPI and I realized it wasn't my fault that my nails kept chipping, cracking, denting. OPI stays smooth!!
Sally Hansen is one of my fav nail polish brands. I also have eggshell nails. I use a product from Sally to help

Do you have to use the primer? If so, do you have to wait a few minutes to dry or apply the nail polish while the primer is tacky!

I naturally have long nails they can grow long nothing worse when it does snap though they aren’t as brittle but your review is so right! When I took the polish off I snapped a nail easily then I quickly put more on & it’s like a a layer of protective polish. Compared to Rimmel, which cracks a lot sally Hansen is so much better!

I use the miracle gel polishes as well and they work for me. They don't chip that easily, lasts at least a week on me. Please don't blame the polish, it all depends on your own nails lol

I don't use that top coat I use IBD intense seal over the color super shiny and my color lasts about 3 weeks depends on how I use my hands.
