In this episode, we will discuss about the revision of layout made by the developer. If developer informs you about the changes and asking for your consent, what can you do?
If the changes are minimal, then it's rather direct which is to just sign and continue with life. However, if the changes are drastic and it affects you personally as a buyer, there are several approach you can take.
You can either negotiate with the developer directly or you can bring the matter up to tribunal if they refused to cooperate. Ultimately, it depends on what you want in return despite the developer and lawyer were not professional enough.
I experienced similar thing before. But the developer was quick to revise the plan (ie 1-2 months) after SPA was signed. In my case, it was clear that the change in layout is a cost cutting measure by the developer.
How do they cut cost via the layout revision?
@@iherng my unit is double storey terrace corner. the family area on the 2nd floor should have double volume ceiling with lubang angin. They shortened the roof, remove the lubang angin and put a 10 feet ceiling like other rooms. They change layout to all corner units.
any clues on who is the developer?
I don't think I should disclose lah but it's important to know there are such cases happening. So if the projects we buy is okay, we should be thankful haha=)
Thanks for watching Yang.
