I disagree with the video director about the white bar being heaven and I sort of wonder if there was a problem of minstranslation when saying this because there is no way that heaven has drinking and gambling. My thought is that Heaven and Hell are clear (blue and black outfit) and Purgatory is split between the white bar, the forest, the void and the scene with the pink jacket. I have to watch Taemin's VLive too but I think he said something similar.

Speaking of TaeMin’s dancing abilities, he is considered to be the best dancer in Kpop. He controls his body movements so precisely! In my opinion, when some idol from a group has their solo, they are using the advantage of the name of their group in compare with solo idols, who are solists right from the beginning. Although TaeMin is from SHINee, he would have been able to be successful as an solist anyway. He has his own stage presence and he is not there just as a singer or brilliant dancer, but as an artist. And speaking of art. This title track IDEA is from is Act 2 album called Never Gonna Dance Again, I’m mentioning the number 2 because Criminal from Act 1 is also so awesome but the thing, which makes IDEA so unique is the unpopular/non- mainstream form of song composition. SHINee is not heavily promoted outside the Korean and Japanese market. Taemin has attracted new fans who aren't familiar with SHINee and introduced SHINee to them. SM didn't promote Taemin's comeback well. At least I hope SM promotes the SHINee comeback more. Boys are getting older and I want their music to be more well known. I'm not talking about fame.

Taemin actively worked on the editing of IDEA and CRIMINAL (pls check this one out as well!) he pulled all nighters together with the editor! The editor said he gives taemin all the credit for the creative direction and input because it was thanks to taemin who had a clear vision of what he wants the mv to look like that it turned out so well

I've heard the song like a million times already but never saw the music video until now and it's sooo GOOOOD. I wouldn't have noticed the things like colour contrast but now that I know it makes it even better
I am glad you talked about the colour contrasting in this video because it's a key point also in the other videos in this series (2 kids, criminal). 2 kids is blue/yellow and criminal is red/green. This video is sort of a combination (blue/red). I read somewhere that the blue is heaven and the red is hell and Taemin is finding a place in between.

Taemin has said that he really has never taken a true vacation since he was a trainee -- he started with SM Entertainment when he was around 11 years old -- and he doesn't know what to do if he isn't constantly working and training. The thing that he hates the most is when people assume he has had it easy because he is part of a big and powerful company and he is so naturally talented. As he has said, there has never been anything that has come easy to him and he has only gotten to where he is today because he has worked hard to accomplish everything. He is constantly pushing himself to become the best of the best in everything he does.
Fun fact: The female voice you hear in "Idea " is BoA. She is a solo artist also under SM Entertainment, and she is Taemin's highly respected senior who debuted with SM in 2000 at the age of 13 and, now after 20 years, she is known as one of the senior-most members of the industry. Taemin's choreography is very much influenced by him. Although he has input in almost everything he does, he has choreographers that come up with the choreography for most of his dances and he then infuses it with his own ideas and style and makes it uniquely his. The way Taemin dances is just the way he moves. His movements are effortless. If you watch Taemin dance more, you will see that no matter who choreographs the dance, it will always be very Taemin-like. Many choreographers who have worked with him over the years have said that, with Taemin you can't help but allow him to move in whatever way his body takes him. Taemin is art in every sense of the word. :D
Taemin's style of dance can't be defined. As he has said, he has worked his entire career to create a style of dance that is unlike anything in the Kpop industry. And I would argue that that now extends to the entire industry of dance. Taemin started out as a self-taught popper and locker without any dance training, and, even then, as a trainee it was clear his skills as a dancer went far beyond the average dancer. Over the years, as you see with "Idea," he has infused those popping and locking skills into his now more contemporary style of dance. But, when it comes to dancing, he can do it all and there is no one better at it than him.
Taemin's talents are one reason why SHINee are one of the top groups in the industry and why they have such legendary status. SHINee is made up of some of the absolute best singers, dancers and performers in the entire industry. With more than 12 years since their debut, they still command one of the top spots. When Taemin debuted in 2008 as part of SHINee he was only 14 years old and, yet, he was already known as one of the best dancers in the industry, and he has only gotten more magnificent over the years.
Now after 12 years Taemin is still one of the youngest in many Kpop circles (he is only 27) and, yet, he often has the most seniority and experience. He is so well respected that everyone looks up to him.
The funny thing is, although Taemin is ultra confident when on stage, when not performing his personality is the complete opposite.That's what makes him even more lovable and why he is so popular.
When on stage, Taemin can turn his sexy, sensual side up to 3,000 and he become the most powerful and magnificent performer that command the stage. But the minute he step off the stage he becomes quiet and shy and he blushes when people compliment him for his looks or performance.
When not on stage, Taemin is known for being sort of innocent and kind of naive and a little ditsy, as only the maknae (youngest member) of a group can get away with -- he is 2 to 4 years younger than the rest of the SHINee members and he plays up being the baby when he is around them, and they pretty much will do anything he asks. He knows how to be cute when he wants something, but he hates it when someone asks him to be cute. LOL.
SHINee are a 5 member group that is known for their live vocals and amazing dancing. They are known as CD-quality singers because they sound just as good live, if not better, than they do recorded. SHINee always sings live. The ONLY thing they are not good at is lip syncing so they avoid it at all costs, so when you hear SHINee singing 95% of the time it will be live. They have trained their entire career to be able to sing live for 3+ hours straight and always sound flawless while performing extremely complex choreography the whole time. SHINee is the group that really set the standard when it comes to live performances. It's literally known as the SHINee standard and it's what all other groups work to reach.

I've heard the song like a million times already but never saw the music video until now and it's sooo GOOOOD. I wouldn't have noticed the things like colour contrast but now that I know it makes it even better
I am glad you talked about the colour contrasting in this video because it's a key point also in the other videos in this series (2 kids, criminal). 2 kids is blue/yellow and criminal is red/green. This video is sort of a combination (blue/red). I read somewhere that the blue is heaven and the red is hell and Taemin is finding a place in between.
