I found some wonderful food items at Aldi. Of course, they are a German store, but a couple of times a year, they'll do "German week," where they have other German items that they don't normally carry. This video features several of those yummy items! I hope you enjoy it. :)

I love that the Aldi grocery hauls are soft spoken, not whispered. They are hands down the BEST videos to fall asleep to. Waking up in the middle of the night to pee and hearing you wax poetic about hot dog buns is the life, let me tell you, thank you girl, so much for making my life a little easier to relax and enjoy the small things!!! God Bless 😊✌️❤️

As a German, I was really excited when I saw this video and I was also curious to see how authentic the foods would be, and I must say that these products are all german classics 😅 especially spätzle, peanut puffs and müsli 😉 But I've never ever heard of "herbs of the alps" and I grew up and still live directly at the alps 😅

Almost every time I go to Aldi there is some woman complaining about the cart situation. Last time she said “why don’t they just pay someone to take care of the carts?” 🤦🏻‍♀️ ma’am they have a store for that where you can pay twice the price! The entire reason aldi is cheap is because they cut down on costs like that

As a German I have also never heard of alp herbs lol The spritz cookies we do have at Aldi here but some of the imported stuff must be specifically produced for the US market. I'm actually from a town famous for mustard but I don't care for it much. Fascinating to see you buy three different jars of it haha

Nice to see they do German weeks in the US. I just wish they would do a legit American week in Germany with actual American products like the "Everything but the Bagel" dupe etc. Not just like an "American Style Pizza" and some popcorn. 😄 And Herbs of the Alps is just a marketing spin to sell these potatoes. No special herbs in the Alps, just the regular ones that survive the cold winters and wet summers. What does "naturally flavoured" mean? That some machine threw the flavour naturally over the potatoes? 🤔 Wouldn't it be "natural flavour" if they used natural flavour? Whatever natural means? Can also be some flavour made out of mould (what they - not Aldi in particular - do). "Spätzle" (actually with an Umlaut) are from a pretty region in the Southwest of Germany. It's called Swabia - Schwaben. It lies in a federate state of Baden-Württemberg. Next to Bavaria. For the Bavarian sweet mustard I recommend going to a German butcher and get you some "Weißwurst" from Munich. Perfect fit

Entertaining as always Mary! I can agree with you, re how long you've had Aldi. My last visit to the USA was in 2011 and I shopped in an Aldi whilst passing through Memphis. Funnily, we've had Aldi in Australia since I think about 2003, but in my state of South Australia only for maybe 5 or 6 years and only really in the North and South of Adelaide. They have expanded more and more in the last few years (a bit before Covid) and I have one within 10 mins walk from me. Though I never would. The thing you would find humourous is that I would estimate 1 out of 3 people checking out ignore the 'Aldi Way' and slowly pack the items into their bags holding things up. I guess some of us are stuck in our ways lol.

Those peanut puffs are usually referred to as Bamba, (they are a traditional Israeli snack), if you have a Trader Joe’s anywhere by you, you should definitely stop in to pick up their Bamba. They do large bags of the plain peanut butter and a Bamba that is chocolate dipped as well. They also do small, individual bags of peanut butter Bamba filled with hazelnut filling. They are SO delicious you can eat the whole bag in the blink of an eye. 😂

I’ve had the split pea soup from that same brand and I hated it. But the lentil soup’s look good. You’ll have to let us know how they are.

We have an Aldi nearby but it is so rundown. I am not sure if it is just this branch but I want to like it so bad after seeing your videos....hmmm maybe I'll try to visit another branch. Thank you for this video!

Have you ever used the twice as nice guarantee, Mary? I have bought a couple misses from Aldi but never took it back because I was too nervous 😅

I like Aldi cereal more than big stores too! A lot of their foods have less sugar. I stopped shopping breakfast and many other things from Walmart I rather go to Meijer or aldi

It sounds like prices around there are also creeping up. If I earlier chose to shop in lidl (In Finland) that was because I liked their products better, but nowadays I have to buy groceries from them because the prices are getting higher everywhere and lidl is the only place I can afford to shop 😬
