At the place I work at, we had an issue with a homeless lady of our own. She was virtually a staff infamous legend for a while. In the shopping center, its not rare to see people begging with signs, but never until working have I seen such a person as this one lady that went on to be called "The Cookie Lady". She was basically poaching for money, rather than standing for it. She would walk up to customers, ask them to buy her "a sandwich", and then she would walk up with them and place orders that were often 50$. She wasn't just asking for food, she was choosey, asking for weird things like a simple veggie wrap that suddenly had to have fake chicken, extra avocado, extra ranch and beans, even almonds (which isn't even a food-line thing, its for our smoothies), and then start adding other simpler sandwiches, quesadillas, or upcharged cookies into the mix. Orders would also involve odd mix-ups of her demanding the extra avo had to be on the side. I'm shocked that I've only witnessed one time where the person paying for her, escaped when he realized what she was doing. Any time she made a real food order, she took ages even with a line to debate out her unusual choices, never listened to any casual advice on her own confused mess of orders, and if she had any part of the payment it came in inconvenient coins while she pulled them from an envelope (or sometimes, a ziplock bag) of better bills. She was called the cookie lady, because she was particularly odd about cookies. She'd come in early morning, or late at night, asking to trade cookies for some reason. She was told "No" by different people, multiple times, eventually even finding one of us our workers out for a coffee break to beg for a return. He was new, and took the cookies, bringing them in to ask about it, and went back told to say it was a Covid issue (really its just a general health issue even BEFORE Covid, so I'm not sure why he was loaded with that excuse), only for her to come in and pull a Karen of "Well now he touched it, and I need fresh cookies, or to speak with a manager". In another time she asked if there were even frozen cookies when we were out, and a naĂŻve cashier complied, but couldn't put them in the regular bags due to their form directly from the freezer. He sent them out in saran wrap, she accepted it, and returned a whole hour later to complain about the wrapping until the same employee "fixed" it. Then, just times of saying she didn't get the cookie she paid for, so frequently that it became a clear lie. Our owner finally sent a text to us that she was banned, when she supposedly threw away her absurdly large borrowed-money order over one "forgotten" ingredient, and came begging us for a free replacement without proof because she was somehow both so poor, and yet so ready to discard, that three meals worth paid by a strange was simply in the trash. Such people that go this far are, regardless of their circumstances, are at best mentally ill, and at their worst are true scum that disgrace and defame the truly needy people that could use a lift. Especially right now, where businesses like our own are desperate to hire, and could give nearly anyone a job. Three of our own staff were at somepoint homeless themselves (two, while working here), and each cannot understand the audacity of the strange cookie lady. These people are a different kind of "homeless person", that don't just stand by to ask and accept free things to get through their needs, but make a lifestyle out of exploitation and abrasively harassing those that can provide.

CRAZY story woof! I feel similarly. I like giving ppl in any situation benefit of the doubt but at the end of the day, that wasn't the right thing for her to do imo.
I don't mind whatever you did , But their was a Video on CZcams where a guy Tried stealing But the Owner Stoped him and said If You need food You could've asked for it , And then he gave him Food and Stuff. The owner In an interview said "If he would have reported that guy , Then The guy would have become much worse."
Complicated with fine lines, some would take advantage of the generosity and want more and more, and even if reporting them would be worse its a no win situation, some people for whatever reason just do things like this because they feel they are hard done by.
The first sandwich u made looked AWSOME I wanted it so bad but subway is close for me right now and I am dying for a sandwich or a salad I love the saladsđđđđđđđđđđđđđđđđđđđđđđđđđđđđđđđđđ
I agree stealing is definitely wrong, but I totally understand your conflict and I greatly admire your empathy. You never know what a person has been through or how much they are struggling or suffering. Many homeless people are disabled and/or mentally ill and just don't have anyone to help them. It's not an excuse to steal, but it was a tough situation for you to be in for sure! As someone who literally just barely escaped becoming homeless a few years ago, I can tell you that asking for help is often extremely difficult and also very scary. Maybe if you're in that situation again you could just go over to them and gently ask if they need help or assistance. Offer to make them a sandwich or call a shelter and find them a bed. A little kindness can really go a long way, and while stealing is most definitely wrong, it's often an act of pure desperation.
Complicated as someone who has only been homeless for a few days at a time in my teen years and very early 20's and to this day has mental health issues, I have so often seen the regulars know where to target for freebies because they know people are the soft touch, and because they know if they steal the cops won't arrest them as its not worth putting them in jail for small things I have even know a homeless person who was a nasty piece of work and for over 16 years go into a different store each day, trash the shelves as they knew they would get a night in cells and free meal, but the same person refused social work support. So it ends up the stealing isn't out of desperation but a form of attention seeking, the fact they are homeless is just part of it.

Hi milad i just started to watch your videos today and for 1 an hour straight i have been watching your videos they make me hungry for a sandwich keep up the great content .
I was taught at a very young age by my stepfather to never give money to homeless people or beggars or whatever. My stepfather owned a business in the town that I grew up in and there was a local homeless man/alcoholic named Stosh, most of the businesses knew who he was so they would hire him to mow their lawns or pull weeds or something and they would give him free merchandise like the grocery store would give him food, my stepfather would give him some of his promotional clothing items for his business, so on and so forth. And I have also experienced beggars on highway off ramps throwing perfectly good food into a storm drain. I gave my lunch to one of those people once and as I was driving away, I watched him literally through it into the storm drain 10 ft away. Most of the time they will be grateful that you gave them food or clothing or whatever, but do not ever give them money.
Doesnât matter the situation. Stealing is stealing. Kicking her out was the least you could do and you shouldnât feel bad for it. You already did the most virtuous thing and not get upset at her on the spot.
Just like a show quote I like. It went into a persons reasons and sob story and the character replied with Sad story, still murder. There are so many places these days to get help that there is almost no excuse for this.
@@YourAverageClown Stealing is bad, that's a fact. But when someone's homeless and has no form of money they have to do what they can to survive. It doesn't make it right but their doing what they have to do to live. In the word's of Aladdin. "Gotta eat to live, gotta steal to eat"
@@xavierrivera3407 Well if someone stole from me, they automatically lose all respect and pride in themselves. There's literal shelters all around the country willing to help.
I know stealing isnât right, and what the woman did is wrong. But I think the people who are almost antagonising her are wrong. This woman could very well have been a good person and if she was indeed in a very touchy situation, she may not have felt like she COULD ask for help. She could have felt embarrassed, she could have felt alone and ashamed of herself. So instead she simply tried to do what she could to get by. Of course stealing isnât right, but this could easily be one of those âIf a man steals a loaf of bread to feed his starving familyâ type situations.
@@goathead5073 If that is indeed what you believe then I truly do pity you. There is a multitude of reasons someone in that womanâs position may try stealing. In my opinion it is cruel to assume that she would do it for purely wasteful means. This is a common stigma towards homeless people and I find it so very unfortunate that you have encouraged it by assuming the same thing.
@@onerandomclone You realize tipped minimum wage is $3 where Milad is? 3 fucking dollars. Thankfully Milad isn't in that position. But do you realize that this person rationalized the thought of stealing from someone who makes only $3 an hour. Only a methhead would do that. No sane person would rationalize putting someone else into homelessness. They needed a fix. It's sad that you can't see this.v
@@goathead5073 Or perhaps it is more sad that you arenât able to open your mind to the possibility that this person is so desperate that stealing from someone who makes such a little amount is their only hope. Desperation does not simply come from addiction. It isnât sad that I can see that, but it is most certainly sad that you seem to think it.
i understand but on the other side someone could be scared to ask for money, food etc etc. sometimes thats very hard bc ppl are scared that the one who they ask it to gets mad maybe keep that in mind :) i really like how u make ur videos! they really make me wanna go to subway and work there- and btw GET THOSE COOCKIES ON CAMERA AND MAKE A POEM OR SMTHING ABT THEM U-U

Let's get this comment to the top
Yesss
Lol I will be so happy if he does
Youâre a genius
This man made me go to subway more. I used to go to subway once every two years but I went 4 times in the spanned of 6 months
This dude's legit the fastest and cleanest subway worker I've ever seen. Not to mention he doesn't skip out on the sauce like the ones in my town.
You must be the reason Santa gets cookies with his milk.

Bro, I wouldnât have let her go but you seem a lot more patient than me and you are definitely a great guy for letting her keep the stuff.
CRAZY story woof! I feel similarly. I like giving ppl in any situation benefit of the doubt but at the end of the day, that wasn't the right thing for her to do imo.
Love the story's they make my dad every time much love
How many dads do u have now??

Bro i watch your vids every day this one made my day
I just found your channel today and I wish I found it earlier â€ïž love your videos!
Desperation can drive a person to do morally questionable things, I find it completely understandable that someone would rather steal than starve.
@@tomfoolery7797 this
Complicated with fine lines, some would take advantage of the generosity and want more and more, and even if reporting them would be worse its a no win situation, some people for whatever reason just do things like this because they feel they are hard done by.
ââHave you ever robbed and killed a homeless manââ
There was that one time...
LOL
lmao bro
Ah yes, robbing a homeless person.
Me: slowly unsubscribes
The first sandwich u made looked AWSOME I wanted it so bad but subway is close for me right now and I am dying for a sandwich or a salad I love the saladsđđđđđđđđđđđđđđđđđđđđđđđđđđđđđđđđđ
This guy is an absolute LEGENDđ€©
Wow. Can I just say, Milan is so amazing at making sandwiches, itâs gotta be a Talent.
MILAN
Milad's outro is so encouraging!

Also this is not on topic but that footlong looked so good o.o

You did the right thing and here's why:
There's a lot of people out there even worse off than her and they would rather drop dead than steal from someone.

Na na na poo poo
Woman: Steals cookies

Imagine being pinned by Milad. Dat be crazy
Imagine though..
Didnât happen but close
At least u gotta like
I was taught at a very young age by my stepfather to never give money to homeless people or beggars or whatever.
He Is literally a whole inspiration out here
is it just me or does everybody learn a lesson from milad everyday
Nah
Doesnât matter the situation. Stealing is stealing. Kicking her out was the least you could do and you shouldnât feel bad for it. You already did the most virtuous thing and not get upset at her on the spot.
maybe if you're homeless one day you'll know what it's like
Just like a show quote I like. It went into a persons reasons and sob story and the character replied with Sad story, still murder. There are so many places these days to get help that there is almost no excuse for this.
@@nou7672 Doesn't matter. If you steal, you deserve to be punished. Doesn't matter what situation they are in.

DAYMMM THAT LOOK GOOD
More subway workers need to be like this man.
She just tryna get money to get a fix.
@@onerandomclone Desperation like that only comes from addiction :/ No normal person would do that. I'm just glad that Milad wasn't struggling.
Yo! When are you gonna explain why your bread sticks to the paper so much? It's kinda weird.
i understand but on the other side someone could be scared to ask for money, food etc etc. sometimes thats very hard bc ppl are scared that the one who they ask it to gets mad maybe keep that in mind :) i really like how u make ur videos! they really make me wanna go to subway and work there- and btw GET THOSE COOCKIES ON CAMERA AND MAKE A POEM OR SMTHING ABT THEM U-U
The customer you were helping was a complete Daren. Call the cops over 2 dollars and cookies?đ
Sad scenario. People are only driven to theft when theyâre desperate. Nobody should ever die because they canât afford food. I think you should have confronted her and said that if she needed anything you could make it for her.
Sadly not always that goes for people struggling and not struggling
I mean not always. An ex friend now used to shop lift and her only explanation for it was that the corporation was rich enough already and wasn't gonna get her money. Sheeeesh. Figured I didn't want some one toxic like that in my life.
Miliadâs videos usually have a life lesson.
This life lesson: Donât steal from anyone, especially from a tip jar
Stealing is bad
Act like you're going to steal but ask for free cookies is good
You're legit the reason why I started to eat subway again aha
Milad instantly equipped sleight of hand after that little oopsie. The movement was so satisfying.
