Shin and Legendary Ghidorah look magnificent as modern renditions but Anime Ghidorah really caught me off-guard. It's easily one of the most interesting concepts I've seen for Ghidorah.
It’s extremely unique, he’s more of a cosmic threat in the anime which is interesting given Godzilla is earth themed

Legendary KG was immense, beautiful and devastating. My favorite of all the Ghidoras, and my favorite Monsterverse 'villain' ever.
I loved it in that movie when he burned those soldiers to crispy fries and then started to lick up their charred remains! They showed him being a real monster there!!!

1991 (Heisei) will always be my favorite design. I honestly loved the Showa Ghidorah's roars than any incarnation.
For those of you wondering, GMK Ghidorah isn't an actual King Ghidorah.
In the film, he's stated to be a juvenile Yamata No Orochi which was an eight-headed dragon in ancient times.
Ghidorah along with Mothra (in a book seen in the film, she is portrayed as having the tail of a phoenix) and Baragon were slain by ancient warriors who then layed the souls of the three beasts to rest, praying for them to one day defend Japan in its time of need.
Ghidorah in the film had only rested long enough to grow back three heads, Takeda (a character who assists the main character Yuri in learning more about the Guardian Monsters) states that if Ghidorah had regrown all eight heads that he was basically invincible and unstoppable.
Ghidorah was one of three Guardian Monsters with Baragon and Mothra being the other two Guardian Monsters.

GMK Ghidorah is a real King Ghidorah, your statement would also claim that Godzilla Earth and Ultima aren't real Godzillas as well because they're not ancient lizards. They're just different incarnations of the same character with a different background/origin.
@DragonlordTevin Should've used Shin as an analogy and not Ultima or Earth.
Take what I said about GMK Ghidorah with a grain of salt. It may not make sense, but when you read up on the production of GMK and the history of it, you'll understand what I mean.
It's my interpretation after having seen GMK dozens of times over and over again to see details, analyze, and listen carefully for important details.

Shin Ghidorah is official and appears in a collaboration short film between Shin Godzilla and Evangelion. He has the most unique powers in the entire Ghidorah incarnation in my opinion.

For those who don’t know, the “Shin” Ghidorah is an incarnation that appeared in the Godzilla x Evangelion 4D Ride at Universal Studios Japan.
It was more or less a crossover promotion for the director of both Shin and EVA.
I actually watched it and it was amazing!

Amazing! My only complaint is that the video didn't really capture Shin Ghidorah's two most distinct aspects:
1. His lighting beams. In the 4D ride, they appear very briefly, and a small delay later you see the actual damage where they hit. Reminds a bit on how real-life thunderbolts behave where you see them for a split second and the sound is heard later.
2. His flying. In the source material, his flying is more akin to swimming in the air and I feel this wasn't properly demonstrated in this video. Maybe having him circle around Godzilla for abit would have helped but oh well.
I actually learned about 2 new Ghidorah forms in this video. Very nice. And pretty good video overall

The way Final Wars Godzilla and Monster X looked at each other gave me chills and I just got reminded of my childhood AND THEN Kezier Ghidorah came and brang joy. My life is complete
It was weird that Kaiser Ghidorah was shown to be Quadrapedal in Godzilla Final Wars which was a first for the character aside from DesGhidorah as King Ghidorah was always shown to be bipedal.
GMK King Ghidorah's entrence is still badass as ever....

Ghidorah has been many things: A cosmic terror who destroyed a planet for fun, a threat created from the bomb that created Godzilla created by people from the future, a cyborg created to save Japan from Godzilla, an ancient creature who was awakened to destroy the planet, a cosmic threat who wiped out the dinosaurs, a guardian monster who’s duty was to protect the country, an alien races last line of attack against Godzilla, an inter dimensional monster who can bend a dimension's rules at his will, and a titan who’s goal was to terraform the planet to his liking. He truly is “the one who is many.” Still one of my favorite kaiju besides Godzilla.
