Youâre one of the few farmers Iâve seen that both shares and has to deal with the tyranny of distance like we do in Aus. Appreciate the consistent quality content Mike!
The clue that you are at Ashtynâs parents is that there are actually trees in the background.
đ€ŁđČđłđ
yeah was my first thought :D
Wild trees - not domesticated ones.
@@theloniousm4337 Sorry I didnât have the correct tree species in my Emoji pallet. đđ€Ł
If it's paid for and is reliable....Color doesnt matter....
Actually colour does matter if it looks like this đ„ or black and charred or rusted out its probably the wrong colour, what it looks like new or before hand doesnt matter as long as it does its job its fine
Speaking as a mechanic of 14 years that grew up partly on a farm and has worked with equipment since I was young I completely agree. If you own it outright and like what you have.... it's reliable and does what you need. Color don't matter. Personally I'm an old Massey Ferguson guy. I like some of the old David Brown tractors too that said. That's a really nice Deere. Not the biggest fan of the what's become normal in tractor monitoring systems where Deere is big on blocking farmers fixing their equipment but that's becoming the norm unfortunately.
Poly fuel tanks are just Deereâs way of saying, yea, itâs gonna burn, and when it does, we want to make sure it gets sent all the way.
Just send her
Poly tanks are on the newer year models
I with u on tracks it was cool when new kid in town i like tires and with tracks you have alot more to go wrong and tires you blow a tire and you put new tube in the tire
I really appreciate how you flat out state that you buy your iron based on cost and not colour or triples vs 800s or tracks, it's about dollars and cents! $20k here, $30k there adds up.
Very true đ
TREES!!! show us the dairy cows in Ashtynâs parents farm...
I really like how you do your videos. I actually learn something. You point out and video what your talking about. Also, we don't see you in the video. Thanks. Be Safe.
Thanks!
My last tractor I had was a JD 8960 with a 855 Cummins in 1994, it was a work horse! Loved that tractor.
At the end of the day it doesnât matter what colour it is Iâm a Massey man but as long as it is cost effective and does the job
Excellent machine! Congratulations, 9620 R is real good.
the four track started with poly tanks and they started putting poly tanks on the wheeled 9R the following year. the poly tank is better visibility and easier to make for them.
I believe the poly tanks started for model year 2017 machines.
I've seen a lot of your videos the last few days and the question I'm really interested in is why do you have so many european machines on your farm?
so don't get it wrong i'm from germany myself and i know 60% of your machines and i see them almost every day. here is also a large farm with 7500 acres. yes i know small in comparison but really big for germany
Don't get tired of us cause we really like your videos
Nice tractor! The trailer looks pretty cool and built strong
you got the life... You are one lucky lucky lucky man
It's ok Mike! I'm a case guy and I just bought a JD skid steer. The price was there, they wanted $7,000 US below market so I jumped.
Poly to steel is a model year change. I believe they went to poly the year after this
The late 2019 and up.
@@scruffy6151 I believe the poly tanks started for model year 2017 machines.
17 is the poly change
It all comes down to service.. whoâs the closest service dealer you work with.. and end user preference. From cab set up to maintenance... price is everything but service is too!
Longevity Mike, the word you're looking for is longevity. Nice John Deere by the way, I'm very jealous!
Good morning Mike.. That's why you are a successful farmer... Money talks and colors walk...bottom line business â€ïžâ€ïžâ€ïž
The steal vs Polly tanks is not tracked vs not it's a year class thing. The composite tanks came out on the 17 year class of 9r tractors for better Vis over the sloped tanks.
No clu what is up with all this fooling stuff, but it would be pretty interesting to see the 9620R vs one of your 9xxxRXs in a pull!
Triples vs a quad... Definitely would be interesting to see the winner
imagine being Travis in the truck and seeing a MAHOOSIVE 9r chasing you
Biggest deer in the headlights he ever saw đđ
Yeah
Just a thought,
You everthink about Fabricating mounts for your gas tank Using Nitrogen filled cyliners Like Gleane's use on their combine heads for going across rough soil That makes the header float.
I've been watching your channel for a long time. You still rock.
Love the tripples and front weights on articulating tractors đđ
Thats very very nice my uncle wld love that he has a 1990's case four wheel drive articulated and he just got a new bin site
Mike why not a versatile tractor
Wow, the amount of weights on the front...compared to our 1982 8640 that's astonishing. But, back in the day the 8640 was a beast of its era. Much respect from Georgia. GaMike
đthanks,great content,humor. Stay safe friends đ
Beautiful Rig! Love it.
Have you ever thought about trying out a versatile
He has a bunch of green one's
He is a lot smarter than that.
He likes them all !
He breaks them all !
haha April Fools, it almost May man
probably was april 1st when he took video
I was thinking that as well but what was he doing with it then
Commenting on the view out the back window........"That looks way different....otherwise it's totally identical". Dont worry, ...Im with you Bro!!đ€Ł
Ending was classic.
Very big tractor .
The steel fuel tanks are only on two production years. I think itâs 2014-15 but Iâm not quite sure. If that was a 2016 or later it would have poly fuel tanks I believe
Mike when you have some time could you make an equipment tour.
Gotta be some great deals on used equipment (690's and 4 wheel drives) in western canada -- good deals that flow cash to the bottom line
Great showâs thanks for sharing Mike.
You got me 100%
Nice looking horse
I was thinking it looks like the one you daughter was driving in yesterday's video
That looked like a good crack in that front inside tire
There youâre right we are going from four tracks to one.đââïž
Use a 7pin connector for your transfer pump!
Man itâs the year of the John Deere 9 series, the Larsonâs bought one, Brianâs Farming Videos bought one and the millennial farmer bought one and now Mikeâs father in law. My guess is it is your father in law because there seems to be far more trees
Just a tractor for Mike's hobby farm....
Chet Larson has a sweet 9rx
You forget Tim's ( Nyfarmgirls ) John Deere 9420R and Kate's ( Kate's Ag - Farm to Fashion ) John Deere 9630 (530hp) , they also bought a second 9 series this year. đ
@@ytfan3815 I think John Deere almost gives em away to have the youtubers be positive about them lol
Ivers Farms have some brand new but red not my favorite but look Good.
Idk if I'm the only one or not but at the end of the video he said happy April fools
Yea i know im late to the party but im confused
A couple of those tires aren't all they're CRACKED up to be..... 5:11
I donât care what you buy Iâll tune in. If I get the money for a newer chore tractor itâll be the best deal I can afford
Illeism:
illeism is the act of referring to oneself (often habitually) in the third person. Also called self-talk. Someone who practices illeism is (among other things) an illeist.
Some people refer to themselves in the third person because they don't want to attach themselves to their ego, which they see as being constraining and limiting. This way they are the puppet master, and the ego is the puppet. They don't want to take responsibility.
Illeism signals to the rest of us one of a number of personality quirks in the speaker, none of them good: A stunted intellect, the presence of psychotic personality disorders, rampant egoism, people who tend to be both hungry for power and desperate to prostrate themselves before the public to win our approval.
I think you need to get the new Fendt tracked tractor......?? Something like 690 hp!!!
One will come, as a demo...
Its a 2 track not the best but alright
Fendt is not wat it's bragged up to be
@@joelentz1733 And they're just real ugly.
You need to get a 610 Versatile
New versatile probably about the same cost of the used Deere
He never even talks about Versatiles. Wonder if they had a bad experience with that brand or something.
@@garrethoffman2372 the 4wds are decent tractors if you keep them off pans our fwa had issues all fixed under warranty but down time is down time the latest and greatest fwa's are solid though
@@db-cd8hx Versatile are easier to fix than any other brand. I think the trans is only a 3 hour swap where as the Deere are like 12 hours.
@@Markus314159 took us 6hrs to pull a manual trans out of a 876 but your not going to pull a cat power shift up through the floor board like that those days are long gone
Very clean tractor for being a 2015 other than the salt residue.
John Deere raplaced there steel fuel tanks to poly tanks for 2017 lineup in their 9R tractors
That's disappointing to hear đ€·đŒââïž
Speaking of tire/track choices: If the deal was right, would you have interest in the LSW 1400's? :)
Also, that 620R seems like a nice choice for you guys!
I also said its long before we could seed, then 4 days and we started here in norway
Waited till the end for him to open that box...
Just can't go wrong with a Deere.
Only farmer on youtube thatâs not trying push shirts or Amazon planter parts down your throat
Haha that's awesome, well I appreciate that Ken!
We have a 9620r exactly like that except ours has weights in the front rims too and no pto. Ours is a 2016. Also we have a 9560r with 800s the ride in the 9620r with 520 triples has a far better ride.
I would love to see that wheeled 9620 vs a tracked version i think that would be very interesting.
April fools!!! Also, Happy Thanksgiving!!!
Tracks were as ways build to leave less of a foot print that was the idea of the design.
Nice unit đ
I'm with you Mike
Tracks are for yellow equipment
I knew it was you! I passed you coming down the highway west of lestock! I was hauling grain from just north of the yard youâre in to raymore on April 1&2! Wouldâve been cool to stop and say Hi!
Hahah that's awesome! Agreed it would have been! đ
Yep. Right. Question. The centre pivot point of the axles with triples, or floats, must be under a high stress point with a centre steer? Oh yes. Have you tried 'Trantor'? Ha Ha Ha. Go on give a try!!!!
Steel tanks also don't melt in a fiređ
Great awesome video mike, honestly Iâm not a Deere guy but I like the tractor , steel tanks will last over stupid plastic tanks , 5 year old tractor is in good shape , must of got a great deal
Yes and someone else has taken the depreciation in the price when buying new..... Mike comes along and has a great deal on a tractor with a lot of life left in it. Smart move Mr Mitchell.
Sweet ride! In my opinion, you should remove the emissions controls when it is out of warranty. Then, it is bulletproof.
Congratulations
Those triples really tear up the ground when you make a turn.
Mike can you show us your blue tractor since you said you have them all?
Yeah i would love to see an Eicher on his farm!
Case and nh are close enough
When Mike buys a new car... "Hey, wait, where are my triples?"
"Going against the grain",.....is that a grain farmer type of joke?!?! (Ha!Ha!) I'm with you 100% on the steel fuel tanks, and the weird hoopla over 2-tracks and 4-tracks. Titan LSW tires all the way!!!
About time!!! Green Green Green đđđđđ
You keep us all guessing
That's three videos in a row now where you get in the operators blind spot. When the Massy was going to pull the Deere over the hump, getting behind the excavator operator, and now getting behind the semi backing up and he couldn't see you in his mirrors.
The fendt you meant and yes, I am aware.. I prefer to stay in the blind spots, makes life far more exciting đđ€·đŒââïž
Have you ever owned a BIG BUD. I have driven one pulling a 62 foot chisel plow in western North Dakota. It's a bad machine if you can get your hands on one. Yes, they do not produce them anymore but it's a bad machine.
Still using the X15 Cummins in the new 9RX 640, thought maybe they were using a Deere engine now after watching BTP's video in the new 9RX 590, but the big boy still has the Cummins.
The rumor was they were going to use the x9 engine in them but they didn't so we continue to wait till they do.
Mike I got a question, why would u fill your tractor with fuel when your not gonna use it for a couple weeks? Are u not worried of getting fuel stollen?
Hey Mike Nice Deere but I'm glad you like the Red ones too. What is the HP and torque rating of that new Deere????
Nice machine!
I never got why you bought the RX instead of the regular R with triplets?
Width doesn't seem to be a problem, but comfort is apparently(as you favor wheeled combines instead of tracked ones).
Price đ
Some people have preference for colour . From a business perspective , buying a high horsepower tractor that suits an operation and finances doesnÂŽt come in colours . About the tracked tractor . I am waiting impatiently to see the 1100 in action .
I think the LSW 1400s would be good.
Need some Yellow and blue next!
I like the green theme. đ
Have you ever considered getting a challenger two track tractor, or an articulate one? They have power and do pull like a freight train.
You should get some lsw triples that ar wider. And a medal from jd best customer of the first half of the year đ
How would it turn?

Quick question: Why would you run triples that are this narrow, opposed to wider doubles, or an even wider single? I mean, I can think of a few factors (you can still drive if 2 tires are flat on one side, probably less expensive to run "normal" tires vs. really wide ones, easier to make the tractor narrower if you need to by taking off 1 wheel instead of changing wheels completely), but I don't know if any of those factors are actually valid reasons. Can somebody enlighten me? (Not talking specifically about why Mike got it this way, but why you'd do it in general)
In some cases they run them for pulling wide planters so the tires are in between the rows yet. But in this case Iâd be willing to bet the person who ordered new put the triples on it for the savings Vs LSWs or tracks. If you cut a tire its a hell of a lot cheaper to replace one of those triples than an LSW. Tracks are very expensive option. And some just prefer the triples.
