    i was almost convinced i dont mind moissanites but somehow on your video the real diamond is just so so much beautiful than the other two... wow

    • @johnbee9957
      @johnbee9957 Před 5 lety +5

      That's probably because he chose a lower grade on the moissanites - ie, the forever one ranks much higher than the one shown here, and comes in "excellent" cuts instead of "ideal".

    I would have preferred to see synthetic gems with "excellent" cut grade rather than idea, as those would have been better matched imo

    Thank you so much for uploading it....I am not sure of the Amora and Moissanite (they probably are awesome) I watched the VDO more than once, I just could not take my eyes off the diamond - It flamed like the sun, throwing large arms of fire and light, I never have seen a diamond of this value and beauty. Thank you so much - it was a unique experience....Gosh it is beautiful.

    I would like some explanation as to why the diamond in this video looks noticeably better. Specially when both BTD and Moissanite Co claims to surpass diamond in terms of optical properties.
    Is it the camera work or are they just lying?
    The diamond in the video as others commented looks sharper, crisper while the other two looks cloudy.

      @verityz470 Před 5 lety +2

      Jeff Lau I think I figured it out. Been researching this all day, particularly the Amora gems from BTD (BetterThanDiamonds). The Amora Eternity gem is supposed to have a Super Ideal cut, very easily showing the black arrows in the center. The Amora in this video is nowhere even close to being a Super Ideal cut, if it were, it would outshine or at the very least match the natural diamond in all lighting conditions.
      Not sure what gem they are using here or if the gem they got from BTD is just massively flawed, but the Amora in this video is not representative of an Eternity Amora gem from BTD.

      That's because that specific diamond has almost the highest quality on all facets, cut, clarity, color, etc.. its freaking 15-20k.

    • @dolphinparadise9931
      @dolphinparadise9931 Před 3 lety +2

      It’s all about the cut !! The natural diamond in this video has lot more facets compared to the other two so the light bounces differently. I hope that helps. If they had cut moissanite the same way that would be killer.!

      @dolphinparadise9931 Před 3 lety

    • @celinelovestumi
      @celinelovestumi Před 3 lety

      That's just how moissanite looks. I compared the two side by side when looking at ring stone options and the diamond really does look better (in my opinion). It's just a matter of them being different stones.

    Michael I’m curious since Moissanite didn’t previously have a cut grade on the certification ,now that their are stones out like Neo diamond cut and even your own line now that’s cut more like a diamond above the girdle , do they now offer cut grades for diamond cut Moissanite stones or does it still remain the same ? No cut grade do to the fact it’s Moissanite And not an actual diamond ? Very curious thanks in advance ! Either way the comparison videos you do are the best here to educate people !

    I love moissanite but the dark concentrated patterns in the moissanites are not pretty.
    Pretty much think a moissanite has to be cut perfect, and it's outstanding but just not attractive if it's not cut perfect.

    You can see the diamond dealers are feeling threatened. If they are smart, they will start dealing in the alternative stones. DeBeers' time has come.

    Wish I could afford a "real" diamond... Love the video. Just wish you gave a honest opinion on which stone is better Moissanite or Amora... Under the lighting it looked like the Forever One Colorless stone looked more like an actual diamond.... Now how about a real comparison on Moissanite and diamelia stones.

    Hi, i had been following your videos and have been through most of them.
    I like the idea of purchasing a moissanite but its colourful sparkle puts me off. Two stones caught my attention white sapphire by Chatham but you said it isnt hard enough on Mhos scale and pure light caught my attention too but then you mentioned it looks a bit cloudy.
    Can you please do a video comparing white sappire, pure light and neo diamond cut including pros and cons, comparing most colorful sparkle to the least, hardness and durability. That would be very helpful in making a decision. Thanks heaps

    I really want an alternative stone but my only concern is the stone looking cloudy over time. I use to work at a diamond store and people would bring their white sapphires in it would be sooo cloudy. I would have to clean under it if I could and it’ll be like new but do the Amora and Moissanite get cloudy?

    • @FireandBrilliance
      @FireandBrilliance  Před 5 lety +2

      Sapphire is softer than diamond and moissanite; therefore, it's more prone to abrasions on the surface areas of the stone from every day normal wear and tear. This may have caused the "cloudy" appearance that you're referring to. Moissanite is 2nd hardest next to only diamond and will normally withstand the test of time. It's very clear and does not scratch very easily compared to that of other natural gemstones. Please note that all white and clear gemstones; such as, moissanite, diamond and white sapphires are prone to oil stains from the hand (sweat, lotion, etc). This may cause a false illusion that the stone is "cloudy" when it is just dirty which may require cleaning from a professional jeweler every now and then. Give moissanite a try. You may love it. I hope this helps! - Michael fireandbrilliance.com/collections/fab-moissanite-by-fire-brilliance

    GIA has the best shine IMO, one factor would be if the cut profile of the other two follows the same as the GIA, it is not actually ideal for the slight difference in refraction indexes. To me, the other two look dull and cloudy

      The moissy and amora were not polished, and the natural diamond was. That is not how moissy or AG stones look like. A moissy has way more fire than a natural diamond.

  • @chengliu872
    @chengliu872 Před 5 lety +1

    All of them looked great to me. In my opinion the diamond looked nowhere near good enough to be worth 15x more than the other two. Anyone who choses the diamond over the other 2, has more money than sense.

  • @verityz470
    @verityz470 Před 5 lety

    The cuts on the two alternative stones are quite bad. Even the natural diamond’s cut isn’t spectacular (common triple excellent cut; not ideal or super ideal), albeit having an excellent color and cut grade. The diamond, up close, still looks superior in comparison, and that’s with a common cut. But I don’t think anyone in their right mind would willingly pay more than 10x as much for something most people won’t be able to tell the difference between.
    czcams.com/video/Cz3qn2Tx6oI/video.html
    If you’re going for investment, then sure, buy the natural diamond in D-F color, flawless or near flawless, with a Super Ideal cut. But if you’re just looking for a nice sparkly ring for engagement or something, go alternative and normal folks won’t tell the difference.

      A small diamond. I've graduated from small diamonds. Bought a "used" 1 ct. for three grand. I could have had double that size if I had gotten an Amora or Moissanite.

    Ewww fakes. The fakez always look too crisp...especially around the edges...also they look funny in the middle. Also when they get dirty they are very ugly..but in a nice diamond setting no one would notice. If u cannot afford diamonds...dont go bigger than 1 carat in the moissanites.

      I found the moissanite flame and sparkle somewhat cheap and of bazar-y taste. It is like a child's toy, doesn't have the life, the dept the strength of the flames as the diamond. It feel empty, cheap and superficial. Moissanite lovers will kill us for this.

    • @chengliu872
      @chengliu872 Před 5 lety +3

      Are you saying that a diamond is better enough that it is worth paying 4x the amount or more for it? If so either you are a jewler or you have more money than sense. I for one would rather pay $1,000 for something that is great than $15,000 for something that is only slightly better.
