Aadi pooram is a festival celebrated during the month of Aadi. The whole festival is considered to be an auspicious occasion because Aadi Pooram is the birthday of Goddess Aandal. It is the day at which she became a human on Earth and on that day the star was ‘Pooram’. Sakkarai Pongal is offered as Prasadam on the occasion of "Aadi Pooram".

இன்னிக்கு பண்னினேன்.வித்தியாசமான மனத்துடன் மிக நன்றாக வந்தது.எல்லாம் சேர்த்து கிட்டதட்ட 5 டேபில் ஸ்பூன் நெய் விட்டேன்.ஆனால் கொஞ்சம் ஒட்டியது.அளவு நீங்கள் கொடுத்த மாதிரியே தான் செய்தேன்.நெய் இன்னும் கூட சேர்க்கணுமா?அப்படியானால் மொத்தம் எவ்வளவு சேர்க்கணும்?
