I watch this clip from time to time. We've met John and his family. My family, the Carneys, lived in Glenbawn in the late 1700's, or so it says on baptismal records from St. Michael's and Castledermot. On one of our trips, we literally stopped by, asking John where Glenbawn was and he responded, "Right here, as far as you can see." It was one of the MOST emotional moments of my life....to be where my ancestors were from, LITERALLY. I have no clue if they farmed John's farm, but John ( and his family,) have always made me feel at home when we visit his farm. I still stand and look out over his fields, wondering just where my family farmed and what their life was like before they left for America. They left for religious reasons and became farmers in Pennsylvania near Emmitsburg, Maryland. Wish I could visit John every year ; he made me promise last May that I'd be back. Guess another trip will just have to take place. In the meantime, I'll keep watching John farm and be with him and his children in spirit. Please tell him we said hello !!! Ed and Barbara Kerney McKay
