This was only after the females identified Tay as being present. So when he acknowledged during interrogation that he was there and who was with him, it corroborated the timeline and the core theory that prosecutors ultimately presented to the jury. Because prosecutors already knew Tay wasn't the actual shooter, Rondo was the shooter by process of elimination. If Tay hadn't said a word, the result probably would've been the same. But the fact that he said anything means nobody knows what would've happened if he hadn't spoken at all. Fair or not, that's the reason the streets pressed him.

Me and my homie got booked back in 2005. We got pulled over and they found grits in the car. I told them idk who’s it is, that’s it! We had separate court date and they subpoenaed me to come to his court date. I didn’t understand why because I ain’t say nothing but idk who’s it is. I went and Nothing happened. No call to the stand, questioning or nothing. I think they was trying play mind games hoping I would fold but I didn’t. I ended up getting 5 years of probation and kept it solid so just because they subpoena you don’t mean you told. I’m from Baltimore Maryland btw.

He's probably the only one that actually explained it to where most people could understand. He's absolutely right about people being illiterate and not being able to articulate themselves. It's time to define what snitching is. The issue is even though he gave a statement during the interrogation, he didn't take the stand and testify, which ultimately his testimony or statement couldn't be and wasn't used as evidence. So it wasn't him that caused their conviction.There was quite a few people on that case that actually gave statements and testified. Now, if waiving your rights and speaking to police in general is considered snitching, then he's a snitch.
