@CareerFireman There's videos of a Hellcat with skinny street tires (not even the Widebody with big, fat 305's) taking the tightest turns on the Nurburgring at 50mph, and taking other turns at 90mph. Don't underestimate the Challenger the way Euro-fanboys underestimated the Viper, which BTW, outcompeted cars on the track, that were 5x it's price.

Well I wish I could get it for 70k. It's cost me 200k. Importing to Australia was 5k. Conversion was 40k. 140k USD I'd say it cost. 195k AUD is what it's cost me here and that I feel. But being the one of probably 10 nation wide rather than having the mustang which is the most sold sports car in Australia, is a good feeling driving. Can't wait for it to be ready
Do yourself a favor and look up two things: Power to weight ratio, and traction. Two 305's is still nothing close to an all wheel drive supercar with (small) 250's or 270+'s. You may feel great knowing you have 797hp, but did you earn it? No, you bought into it. Is it reliable? Maybe, until you get too gutsy around the corner and touch the traction control button. But don't trust me, just look up hellcat crashes. It may be fun to boast how much power these cars have, but this car is much less supercar than even an AWD Jag or V10+ audi, both of which are affordable options. Numbers are fun, but they are meaningless without perspective - one taste of a BAC mono or Ariel Atom will have you backwards. :) But it all goes away when you rip a burnout cloud so thick, your friends can see it from the next county over.
The fact that it has a back seat, regardless of the size, is proof the it is not a super car. In addition it can't corner anywhere near as quickly as a super car.
not a supercar... sure, it has hp but that's about it. It's as heavy as some suvs. It handles like a boat, can't handle corners. Even when you have launch control you're still shredding tires. It will go fast on the quarter mile PROVIDED you install those mandatory parts/packs that Dodge mentioned.
I was talking to a guy at a car show with a Hell Cat, and he was told by his insurance company(Allstate) that in 2019 they will no longer be writing coverage for the Hell Cat! He started calling around and State Farm and Farmers told him the same thing. He told me he finally found that Hegarty would cover it but had to agree to a low mileage usage, something like 1000 per year. Basically to local car shows and cruise ins. They made the back seat smaller than previous Hellcats? And why only 305's at the back, why not 315's? People already put 305s on their older Hellcats. Almost a 100 more HP and it has the same top speed as previous Hellcats.
if I got a wide body.... it wouldn't fit in the garage... I have like 2 inches clearance when I back in as it is.... id have to demo the house...…. however... that means - I could put in a lift too.…. winning!
Love it or hate it if you must. When I was young driving older v8 muscle cars, I couldn't fathom something like this being for sale to the public as an everyday driving car. I would have thought 500 hp was the threshold. Hell, we were worried that the v8 and rear wheel drive would be long gone. I hope this age of big horsepower stays around for a while!
Lose some weight & add drag radials with the 3.08 rear gear it's a low 10's car........then add tune and smaller pulleys and we're talkin high 9's. Pretty damn impressive for a near 4700 lb vehicle with big driver.😎👏 Plus & Best Of All.....its the Only Performance car on the market today, that truly looks like an old school True American Muscle car, & with room & comfort, unlike the more modern looking Chevys & Fords of today. @@Bailey_54R Who says?
Bailey O. It is track focused.
It's a muscle car. Stop the bs and acknowledge the heritage of the car.
Awesome Roman 《☆》Definitely a Blue Collar Super Car in My book. Destroyer grey not My favorite color but I'm putting one covered with F8 Green on My bucket list ☻
Small modifications and the red eye can be 1000 to 1100 hp car on the road...over drive pully and it will smoke majority of those super cars being driven on the road...
Is Dodge ever going to update this ancient design? Or is it going to challenge the Beetle for longest production run...
They made the back seat smaller than previous Hellcats? And why only 305's at the back, why not 315's? People already put 305s on their older Hellcats. Almost a 100 more HP and it has the same top speed as previous Hellcats.
I wanna see that dodge take corners like a super car.... I'll wait
A Han have you no seen all the videos of it on road courses
Dodge viper the new one is coming out next year.
The Chally can't do that, but the Viper ACR will.
Fruitable YT the fact you used “chally” disqualifies you from any reputability
Pulls close to a 1.0 g. Close enough given the power advantage over most “super” cars
if I got a wide body.... it wouldn't fit in the garage...
May or may not be a "Supercar" but it is definitely a bad ass American Muscle Car, an attainable one at that
Lose some weight & add drag radials with the 3.08 rear gear it's a low 10's car........then add tune and smaller pulleys and we're talkin high 9's.
Pretty damn impressive for a near 4700 lb vehicle with big driver.😎👏
Plus & Best Of All.....its the Only Performance car on the market today, that truly looks like an old school True American Muscle car, & with room & comfort, unlike the more modern looking Chevys & Fords of today.
Great Job DODGE!😎👏
It's a muscle car. I racked wins on the freeway against a r8 v10, multiple z06s, and 911s.
But it's still just a muscle car.
I live in San Diego so I'm sure I'll run into a lambo and Ferrari one day.
Speed doesn’t make a supercar. If I buy a golf r and go nuts with it (stage 4+++), so it’s ~2.8 0-60, 600hp, etc, does that make it a supercar, too?
"Supercar". "You keep using that word. I don't think it means what you think it means." I love the car though.
It's power to weight ratio is 8.74 around the same of a mustang GT
First time someone talked about the 200 valet hp mode.
ok. the whole back seat scene wasn't fair. You didn't have to push the seat all the way back to say you couldn't fit. I have a challenger and take my parents for rides all the time and they are comfortable back there. They are 5 9 and 5 10. Given, it is not that easy for adults to get in or out, but once they are in . It is comforty.
Actually the term Supercar, in America, predates the classification of muscle car.

WOW, I didn't realize all those CZcamsr's are under the same banner!
Looks great, but it’s a super car in a straight line only...
Seeing hellcats on the street makes me drool yet here i am just dig racing a scat pack🙄
Widebody redeye starts off at 77,000 normal starts at 71
