It's Nice to see this video, even if i figured this out myself like 3 years ago lol. I'm glad they also finally made it so you can fill up the trade platform from a container on the same platform, because i used to have a long chain of auto arms. Also the storage sensor DOES detect the trade platform but like you pointed out, it's funky. In my solution i just used a storage sensor, button repeater, and 8 delay repeaters

I’ve been playing astroneer more recently and these videos always help me with my world. Glacio would be much worse off if it wasn’t for these
Perfect, this is a crucial step in automating astronium trading for hydrazine, so near-full automation of nano-carbon alloy is possible! the only thing I can't get around is helium. This can be resolved by just placing a large storage silo full of it nearby.
Yeah, you can store enough helium for thousands of nanocarbon pretty easily if you get a nice base on Atrox.

Im noob to Astroneer. 2 months or so. Your videos are funny AF and helpful! This game has either the GOAT or really frustrating to me. The graphics sound and physics are top notch and unparalleled. It's frustrating though cause I have a tendency to wander off dig a hole till I suffocate and die.... Also the camera when in enclosed spaces. Navigation of the menus has a huge learning curve as well.
If you’re confused about anything in particular, comment it and there’s a good chance I’ll make a tutorial for it.

I think it was a DLC or something I got a few months ago.
Theres a faster design, but it requires all non-scrap objects to be off-platform once the trade platform arrives

I may just make a video about mistakes in general. That would be more broadly useful. I'll include what you've mentioned in that.
What would be a good way to automatically move whatever the trader brings into a resource canister?
Just an auto arm. You can make sure it doesn’t pick up the scrap by placing the item you want it to pick up in the center of the auto arm because that filters it.

Hey mr jerk. I'm a new player and was wondering if there's any way to make cave exploration easier in the early game. It seems like one wrong step lets me fall several tunnels down and then I've lost all my stuff
My best advice is to always stay very close to tethers and watch ahead of where you walk very carefully.
If you go to lower cave layers, create a slight slant in the soil by destroying a bit, then hold ctrl to flatten a ramp down. Make sure it isn’t too steep or your character will slide and fall before your bridge touches the ground safely.
