Az én első gondolatom is az volt, hogy "Melyik magyar eszi így a palacsintát!?" meg méghozzá villávalxdd
Örülök, hogy ízlett nekik, de csak szerintem nézett ki az összes étel gusztustalanul? :D magyar készítette el egyáltalán ezeket? a sarki kifőzdében szebb rakott krumplit, káposztát látok, mint itt. a gulyásfőzelékről meg ne is beszéljünk, azt nem tudom értelmezni.

Valamiért mindehol pörköltet adnak gulyásként Magyarországon kívül.
Ha jól tudom, alapvetően a levesek ott nem ennyire nehezek, mint nálunk. Könnyebb nekik ezt elfogadni úgy, mint valami ragut. Meg aztán, háza-népe válogatja: ahogy én főzöm, az sem igazán leves. Több benne a hús, mint a lé :D

igazából sok külföldi a pörköltet is gulyásnak mondja:D vendéglőben voltam nyáron felszolgáló és én is pislogtam egy sort hogy miért szeretne gulyás levest rösztivel/nokedlival majd a főnököm mondta hogy általában így szokták kérni a pörköltet is:D

We don't put walnut into other-flavoured pancaked but we do put (a lot) into walnut pancake, as this type exists... and so does cinnamon, poppy seed, any kind of pudding, or even fresh fruit pancake just to mention some standard ones.

Depends on where you have it - a bit like fishermen's soup. I've met it with bacon on top and even with onion on top. All are great.

Mi rendszeresen csináljuk hasonlóan. Leterített palacsintára baracklekvár, darált dió, következő palacsinta. Felépül a rétegekből egy torta forma és úgy vágjuk mint a tortát. Nagyon finom, zserbós íze van.
Ha a család nagy része hagyományosan, magának tekeri mindenfélékkel, akkor szoktunk csak 1-1 darabot így, baracklekváros-diósra feltekerni. Nekem az egyik kedvenc verzióm.
Nálunk a nutella szóba sem jöhet.

Nem tudom ki kotyvasztotta ezeket, de egyik sem hasonlított saját magára.
Gulyásleves ez? Még a palacsinta is valami sárga főtt tésztának tűnt, pedig azt nehéz elrontani. Ilyen szegényes rakottkrumplit is háború esetén készítenék.
Mondjuk ezek tényleg jó kaják, bárhol a világon meg lehet őket csinálni, de a fűszereken nagyon sok múlik.

Hungarian food is amazing. Im swedish, but lives in Hungary now. And the food is amazing. Much i think is becouse Hungarian food are made by people who loves food, And cooking here takes time., As it should do.
I'm so lucky :D came to Hungary for studying and have an amazing Hungarian flatmate, her mom is great cook. I have chance to eat some very delicious Hungarian food because of her. which my other international friends can't have opportunities to try out in restaurant. menn that's awesome, but I hardy can replicate to get the same taste for sure.

Kétféle angol létezik: az egyik meg van arról győződve, hogy a világon mindent az angolok (de legalább britek) találtak fel. A másik viccet csinál az elkefélt angol konstrukciókból, amin az első csoport is röhög, nem pedig kaszára-kapára kap.

Csak óvatosan! Lehet, hogy a jövő egyik Nobel-díjasához van szerencséd, és nem ártana, ha Sz-Gy Alberton kívül létezne még egy olyan Nobel-díjasunk, akire nem úgy hivatkozunk magyarként, igazolandó a nagyszerűségünket, hogy előtte leszaroztuk (minimum).
Akárhány ilyen külföldi anyagot nézek, mindig mindenki dícséri a magyar kajákat, jogosan. Örülök hogy a REACThoz is elkerült egy ilyen anyag, a rengeteg feliratkozó amikor ezt megnézi, tuti hogy összefolyik a nyál a szájukban és már nézik is a repjegyet hozzánk :)

That Gulyás leves looked nothing like an actual hungarian "cooked on an open fire in a cauldron"-kind of gulyás leves.
I think it was Gulyás, the original form, which is a thick stew, whit the potato cooked in it. Gulyás leves is a more modern thing mostly made during the communist times.

My grandmother was Hungarian, so we ALWAYS had stuffed cabbage when we went to visit. I didn't like it then, but I sure do now! She would also make kifli for dessert, which was little versions of the planzenta they showed here. They would have either ground walnuts or apricot, not both together.

tudom hogy 2 éve írtad de leszarom. Szerintem azért mert a túró rudit nem konyhában csináljak, hanem mész és leveszed a polcról (és mivel amerikában nem árulják ott csak rendelni lehetett volna és az idő) és a lángost nem tom. A lángost meg azért mert nem a Balaton mellett vették fel a videót

What is shown as goulash soup has nothing to do with real goulash soup. In Hungary, soups are liquid like water. If you try really good Hungarian goulash soup, you feel like you are in haven, it is so unbelievably good.

In Hungary we make crepes, fill them with jam, sweetened cocoa powder, or mix up sour cream with cottage cheese and sugar and use that for filling, and roll them up. Or we do it Hortobágyi style.

The last one is not gulyásleves (gulash soup) but pörkölt (beef stew). Around the world this kind of beef stew is often called Hungarian gulash, but not gulyásleves. Gulyásleves is a real soup. Anyway, this couple of Hungarian dishes represent well our tasty meals.

I am Hungarian and this video was a very heartbeating to me. I like to cook, too and I make these dishes often. You know, there are more dishes that aren't so famous in the world. We have stomach stew from cow's stomach; pickled cucumber what made with sour cherry leaf and bay leaf + garlic; pork stew with really hot paprika (a.k.a. chili); stuffed cabbage (sour cabbge filled with rice, meat and various spices, and pieces of dill and smoked bacon, Hungarian sausage and smoked bacon skin in the cooking vessel); bean goulash; potatoe soup with sour cream; carp soup with noodles and lemon; ricy meat stew; pork leg stew; cabbage pottage with tomato etc.

As a hungarian, i'm confident enough to say it's getting on my nerves.

The second one is töltött káposzta which means stuffed cabbage. Rakott káposzta is being made with rice cabbage sour and meat. So the ingredients are pretty similar but shape of it is different. And rakott káposzta is less saucy.
my mother is hungarian so every one of the foods shown ive eaten, except some of em are different than traditional. I wish i could speak hungarian fluently tho, ive been forgetting recently and reading the comments really helps (im a self taught reader and writer so i can read some of em but not understand all of it but it helps)
when i say self taught i just mean my mom reads these romance novels and will leave em out sometimes so i got bored once and just started reading some of the words i knew and that how i kinda learned to read and write. I still text my mom in hungarian like saying koszonom or stuff like that

In rakott krumpli that creame it tejföl. You can put extra tejföl to the top of the dish to cool it a litle bit down. And... We eat it for Lunch, not for breakfast.

Szerintem csak hideg. Ha 2 napig otthagyod a palacsintát a küszöbön a macskának olyan lesz mint a rosszfajta gumilabda. Tapasztalatból mondom (sajna) A macska kikunyerálta, odaadtam neki és nem ette meg.

Well... In our household hungarian pancake is just with jam or cocoa powder or a cottage cheese kind of thing but it's called túró which is sweeter and harder than regural cottage cheese

Im hungarian so i just have to say a few things about this video:
1.u dont put hungarian food into such miserable and small "containers" because if u eat it, u eat a lot more than just that
2.u put sour cream on top of layered potatoes, not cheese
3.we rarely put both apricot jam and walnuts into one pancake (but separately we do) hence it isnt so popular, but we have gundel pancake which has a rum-flavoured walnut filling in it and chocolate sauce on top
4.gulyás soup isnt thick, its as fluid as a simple vegetable broth, but we usually add some noodles which are smaller nokedli pieces to make it a bit richer
5.also note that most hungarian savoury dishes contain onions (except breads and noodles)

Hát azért jó fura hogy a rakott Krumplit sajttal eszitek. A Gundel palacsintába pedig sokszor raknak lekvárt is hogy ne legyen olyan száraz. Egyébként teljesen egyet értek veled.

A sargabackos-dios palacsinta kombináció bizony eredeti magyar, régi szakácskönyvben ellenőrizhető, csak a proli kádári időkben kikopott. De egy igényes magyar étteremben vagy otthonban ma is előfordul.
Itt amerikai alapanyagokból főztek Amerikában, tehát nem lehet elvárni, hogy minden autentikusan budapesti legyen, viszont nem is a zsirszagu koszos magyar balatoni lehúzóhelyekhez, szar alapanyagokból, tömény zsir-cukor kombohoz illik viszonyítani. Hanem el kell menni egyszer a Gundelbe pl. A magyarral ellentétben valóban világszerte ismert, minőségi és népszerű konyhák, pl olasz, francia, japán, spanyol folyamatosan fejlődnek, újítanak, ezért is köröznek le minket.
Volt magyar, aki a túró rudit hiányát kérte számon "ősmagyar ételként", amit első ízben 1968-ban gyártottak Magyarországon kis tetelben. Ugyanis a Szovjetunióbol honosították, az eredeti orosz túró rudit, amit ott сырок-nak neveznek. Annyira ismeretlen volt, hogy a tömeggyártása csak a 80-as években kezdődött a Szabolcstejnel, így még anyukám is túró rudi mentes világban nőtt fel.
Egy másik derék hazankfia a törökökok által meghonositott lángost látta volna szívesen..

I'm Hungarian, I eat and cook these things regularly, but hell I did not recognise any of these foods that you served in this video just by looking at them... gulyás is supposed to be a soup, not a stew. but I'm glad you guys liked it, it's finally not some close minded people who hate everything that is not a burger. I hope one day you get to go to Hungary and try these delish foods in their whole glory

I had a grandfather that was German-Czech, but some of the recipes my grandmother learned from his family were apparently Hungarian. Chicken Paprikash for sure. There was also Roast pork with dumplings and saurkraut, but I'm seeing now that this is a Czech dish.
That was a nice video. Thanks from Hungary. Only one comment/correction (actually this is my mania). Goulash is a soup not a stew in Hungary. In Czechia for example or in Austria it could be a stew instead of a soup. They integrated this meal but changed a bit. Mostly they make it as a stew. But here this is a heavy soup :)
