No help needed, that was just a sick flip by the second forklift operator. He really came in clutch there, absolutely earned that replay!
Thank you for this: Did the second forklift drive through the spill? Best to use the same contaminated forklift to flip the IBC or move it onto the seconday containment. This leaves only 1 forklift to decontaminate. I would recommend the operator never leave the forklift, have access to a respirator and have the ability to signal a third party to cover or isolate the drain and deliver the secondary containment pallet.
This is been a good safety training regarding IBC
EXCELENTE VIDEO ! ES MUY INFORMATIVO!
i move stuff like this at work makes me nervous but its always beat to avoid castostrrophic spills
Been driving a forklift for 3 years and move IBC's daily. I'm still always cautious wherever I pick one up. This has never happened to me but I once broke a empty one lol.
No running on site.
Went to hook a hose line up to a sulfuric acid tank & after about three to four seconds from taking the fitting cap off acid started spraying out. I backed away for a few seconds b/c I thought the valve was shot but was able to safely close it to stop it from coming out. My question is this, how the heck is it possible when I never opened the valve in the first place? I only took the safety cap off of to where you hook up the hose. If someone opened the valve slightly wouldn't it still seap out w/ the safety cap thing on that whole time? Just trying to figure out what in the hell happened? Anyways thank God I was wearing my safety gear.
First of all we are greatful, that nothing happened to you! For the question how this could happen you should contact the producer of the tank.
What the bags with liquid on the wall (GULLY!)?
The Bags are filled with a water/glycole mixture. The bag closes the gully tightly, so that no chemicals get into the sewage water system.
@@basf where can i find it to buy what they are called
It seemed like a loose fit
So scary as this is super toxic
The Ibcs can be put one on top of each other? Full with 1650 litros of honey... not Hazmat
if it is an acid you don't want to be anywhere near there or you did ye last poop
Better not to use these old type of IBCs at all but revert to double walled Varibox containers:

This time I'll use woodprix instructions to make it by myself.
