Wow
These Mercuries have been turning up often lately whenever I check those CoinStar machines. I suppose their slightly different weight to current-day clad dimes kicks 'em into that rejects bin below. What's really odd though is that the last two I found weren't in that rejects bin at all, but right up on the shelf by the feeder bin. One was in a neat little stack of maybe a half dozen Canadian and some Euro change, but the most recent was just sitting there all on its own. So, what this implies is that someone had fished them out of the rejects bin, judged them not worth keeping, and just left them there. Astonishing...
I think they suffer because they are one of the smaller silver coins out there.
@@dancerscc If you mean "suffer by neglect", you may be right. But personally I've always found the Mercuries lovely and beguiling, even as a kid in the '60s when they still popped up now and then in circulation. I suspect many folks are just too dumb to know what's really "good". Also, we have LOTS of folks from other lands hereabouts who would have no reason to be familiar with our older coinage. I suppose they get a pass. If you're talking about "suffering rejection by the CoinStar" on account of dimes' lower weight, I suppose that's possible with a tighter margin of acceptance, though I do also find the odd pre-'64 Quarter too...never any Standing Liberties or Buffalo Nickels though. Though I did snag one of those 35% silver War Nickels a while back in a CoinStar rejects bin.
The 1936 should be more right
Most likely the top end coin would have a higher value. The mintage was much less in 1936.
@@dancerscc but, I think it D Mercury dime form 1936

I have this coin in my collection. Pretty cool
Love old coins!

Working on these. The shorts have a distinctive audience different from longs!

My friend just showed me his grandpa's books, basically almost filled with mercuries, walking liberties, Morgan's, silver eagles buffalo nickels, etc
LIT! As you can see from my much emptier albums it take a LONG while to fill them! Well done to friends Grandpa!

I have 1 and its intact(means its like new) and im too lucky that it has the letter W
LIT!
Nice. I gave away a 1916 recently to Pirate Stacker. Didn't know the 1916-D was worth so much. Luckily I only gave away an S, lol.
Since I started getting back into the hobby I have found that I really have a huge curve of learning also! Hang in there!
I have this dime in book and many others also.
Have you started a collection, or is this just for fun?
What about Philadelphia mint. No mint stamp? "1941." I just recently found one.
It depends on a lot of factors. When I get a chance I will get a video posted.
@@dancerscc Would you mind if I sent you a few pics, via your Instagram?
@@dancerscc Just for a little bit of perspective.
I have 1945 dime
Excellent!
Gramps left a case of rolls, I found under the house. There's at least 40 rolls.😅
What a wonderful find!
I have 5 of these
FIVE! LIT!
I have 3 that's 1937 and 1thats 1945 are they worth anything
I do not know the values of your coins. I am not a coin appraiser or expert. These videos are more informational and entertainment based. I will try and create a video if I ever get free time!
Ok thank you I think there in pretty good shape one looks new
Some of the videos have a scanner which I'm sure can give you the value of your coins make sure your pictures are clear and take pictures of both sides
Why you don’t say anything about where to sale a coin ? All CZcamsr only talk about posible value but never never never where to sale if you got this coins lol😂
It's dangerous to tell someone where to sell something. You just don't know if the content provider has something going on the side where they would benefit from selling your coin. I do research online (apmex/PCGS) to get a good start as to value. Then I research more.
@@dancerscc lol excuse …! Dangerous 🤣 none will sale stuff or buy and sale gold
Quick question brother could you sell my 1965 Canadian nickel I heard it's worth abundel any information would be great. And Biggest 🙏 ings
World coins are not my strength. There is a Canadian coin channel out there that would be a better choice.
I KNOW THAT DIME !!!
It's the one you sent me! I think it's lucky!
@@dancerscc Well then... Put it in your pocket, and go play the lottery !! Who knows !
How do i sell mine
There are a number of online stores/people out there. Hopefully someone will see your comment and reach out to you!
I have one exactly like that but without the Mint mark..DO you think it's worth anything ?
Coins always have value. However I do not know the value of your coin. Remember, I am not a coin appraiser or expert. These videos are more informational and entertainment based.
I handle thousands of coins daily and I've recovered 6 in 5 years.
I would guess not as common as they do not look anything like the current Roosevelt dimes.
@@dancerscc The edge tells the story.
Doesn't have the lines on torch
They are known as "FB" or Full Bands.

I'm new to coin collecting what does mintage mean
Welcome to coin collecting! Mintage means how many coins of that type that the US Mint produced.
