lol this is so funny cuz I’m 2 years locd with my current set and I’ve spent the last 2 weeks coming them out. I have like 30 more left 🤧 I used to binge watch your videos now I find out that you’ve combed yours out too! 😂

Love the shrinkage 🤗 brings me to a question... a lot of ppl hair grows longer while loc'd than it ever had as a loose natural... when you were loose before, aside from the heat damage, was your hair growing as healthy? And will you continue using any of the products that you used while loc'd? Thank your for sharing your journey ❤

Your hair will automatically grow longer because you are able to retain length better when it’s loc. there’s less tension/ manipulation. I was loc’s for two years then combed it out my hair went from shoulder length to bra strap length. I didbt use any products on my locs beside reg shampoo conditioner and retwist gel…. Locs is basically a protective style

Did you mention what caused your buildup in your locs?
Someone commented saying it was the oil in her part one video. I don’t think that was it though because I noticed we got our locs at the same time and have been growing the same time and I didn’t have the amount of build up she had with using oil. I do minimise how much products I use in my hair because build up is a big thing for me. I stay away from most of my BL (before loc-ed) products because they were all creamy white products that can stay inside the locs. I go to a salon 1 or 2 times a year to get a deep cleanse. But I stick to the water, oil, and a clear natural loc gel.
I’m on comb out day two after 4 years. 3 hours a day and do about 3 or 4! Your first video inspired me!! I can’t wait for this stage, but I’m taking my time!! 🫶🏾

The same thing happened when I took my locs out. My twist out looks thin on the ends even though I got a trial after combing out my locs 🫠
