So far I am content...I filled up almost 2 weeks ago, $40, still have 1/4 tank left. My commute is about 20 miles. The ride feels very comfortable, my only miss is Android auto....I loved having it, the navigation system does not compare....still learning. But pleased so far....I've had several Mercedes for 20 years.
Your tank is small enough (50L) to make you feel good?
Do you still have this vehicle?
Vw
Even thought it went the review that I wanted to hear, its an excellent review and I really like the presenter.
good vid, i love the honesty thanks
Yeah legendary build quality is arguable. I think Merc has new EQ hybrid system in what might be an out-going chasis. So i think we should expect to see a new generation soon. EQ though is something to watch.
Thanks for the honest review. I was seriously considering it, but not anymore as my daily commute one way is 30+ miles.
for 30+ probably an EV is better? we have been leasing I3 in the past 3 years, we loved it! but we do notice a quick decline in capacity in this year. so we are going to return it...unfortunately, not sure we can lease another ev since, all ev prices are crazy right now...thats why i am researching plugin alternatives..sigh...
Great review, thank you!
The GLC is getting a facelift in 2020 with digital dash 12 inch MBUX and all the new tech and safety features.
Dans trois mois ...
You have really gotten better with your presentation!
At the price premium, it seem like the electric-only range should be around 50 miles and, at least in the “eq power” trim, the MBUX system should also be included because of I would guess it’s techie/early adopters that are already more drawn to this market segment.
Good (honest, informative) review.
Ok, but what is the alternative for the size and price??? (Used and new) ???
How to adjust to the dash lights in a 2007 Mercedes-Benz 350
If it was ALL electric then fine, I would be interested. Right now this hybrid approach isn't working anymore because you still use gas.
I know this video was only 6min...but i think you could have explained the EQ system better...or at all. Its different from traditional hybrids
You make a very valid and important point about pathetic attempts at Hybrids and them being so-called "Green". How green is it really when you get such little mileage on electric power and how green is it that these cars now have 2 engines in them, and the environmental impact of building that second engine??
People only care about the CO2 tax you pay for a company car. Thats why i bought this one. Will probably never rlly use the electric mode
10-15 miles all electric is breaking my heart. I wish the range were at least 20-30. An even REAL 20 would make me feel better.
That is not the 2019 GLC that's the out going 2018 like seriously guys did you even look it up on the internet
You forgot to mention the rebates and tax credits for being a plug-in hybrid, as well as the ability to apply for the HOV sticker for single person driving in the HOV lane.
dcharizard91 yeah in the 5 states where that’s a thing
Sam Quinn lmaoo
27 combined mpg lol NOPE
Bro you can drive with both engines and have lower consumtion
It's a half ass step to electrification. 15 miles of ev range, 2 miles better than the non-PHEV AND 6K more? It's not worth it. If can't get at least 30 miles of ev range, then it useless. Why do it?
It is if you want to drive in the carpool lanes in California.
To comply with dumb government regulations.
That why you have insurance to take care of the extra cost of fixing modern cars.
I still thing it would be getter to have more battery and a generator to extend the range or probude electricity to the motors
There is already Facelift out...
This hybrid system sounds like it's in the sls stage of progression. I'd rather wait for the amg gt version. If you know what I mean.
If I wanted a hybrid luxury SUV, I'd go with acuras super hybrid MDX. It seems like it has more bugs ironed out, at a price that's pretty compelling.
Legendary build quality? In 1969 not 2019.
While they don't build em to last like the good old W123, MB still has top notch fit and finish. They look and feel great. Just good luck if you want to keep yours past the warranty these days. Haha
UTE TV 😂
Wait until you seen one up close to sit in one...then you'll understand.
I was looking at buying used 2020 but have seen that there are a ton of lemon law buybacks on this model. Seems to be transmission, battery and thermostat issues. I think I am going to pass.
official site says 55mpge on city, 57mpge on free way. wrong data!
MPG and MPGe are two different things...
@@cboy0394 I know they are, but you aren't giving any mpge data, and this is a hybrid! No more mpg!
@@jayf9929 MPGe is only when used in pure EV. It's still MPG in hybrid models. Terrible efficiency anyway you slice it considering you only have 15 miles of EV and it's basically a really heavy paper weight the rest of the time.
These kinds of ridiculously expensive and overly complicated vehicles is exactly why I think the Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV is such an amazing vehicle.
Compared side by side, the Mitsubishi is obviously of lower quality - and in terms of price it was only a couple of thousand less.
@@billlopez4898
Maybe the Outlander PHEV is of a lower quality but of way higher reliability and dependability. And it starts from 35k up to 40k. So yeah not by couple of thousands less!!
@@Talal883 - I paid $50k for my 2019 GLC 350e the Mitsubishi was $45k
@@billlopez4898 and how did it perform for you…?
Very disappointed
"...it's a little bit more green"...for $68,000 as tested...
lmaooo It will really be green after putting your money into it
Chrysler Pacifica 2019 phev has 30 miles pure EV range and 30 MPG hybrid when battery is depleted. The vehicle is huge, more luxurious and more efficient and the top trim costs as MB eGLC PHEV entry level. Clearly this vehicle is poorly positioned in North American marketplace.
starts 48K this 1 is 68K?? and 27 mpg combined?? You're better off with a diesel GLE
it's 315hp hence the consumption
Very stupid vehicle. Add a battery that can’t be used.
timothy gray lmaoo lol
e motor and battery adds so much weight and takes away from mpg. It's a waste of resources to make these cars with e motors.
It’s alright 💵👀
The GLC isn't a compact SUV, it's a mid size, the GLA is a compact SUV.
They need to electrify the GLB... shame they want to cheap out on everything like every other automaker and production in Mexico is not a good indication of quality
P, persistence! Questionable presenters in every video :) unsubscribing...
Wow, terrible value. I hope that badge was worth it.
One word... horrible vehicle. Do NOT do the mistake of buying it. You will repent. This Suv only gives 22-mile combining gas+ele. The dealership is making fool of stating that the combined mileage can be 52-58
That bumper comment was ignorant Mercedes literally didn’t plan for u to crash now I get the point it may ass extra cost but to be fair cars aren’t meant to be crashed simple plus what if u get hit on the side it be the same thing that whole comment is not valid
Overpriced!
This vehicle is a disappointment...period.
