Not necessarily, in reality you can get pregnant right after giving birth and while I doubt that's what happened, we have no idea what ages the kids or the father is. They could both be the same age for all we know.

Let's reverse the rolls for a second and say that the father was 21 and raising his three kids that all belonged to the same mother and she decided to just up and leave. Would you also then immediately assume grooming, I don't think so. Now again... the parents could be the same age and the father decided he was out, or maybe the father is the younger one. My point is that unless we know the age of the father, instantly assuming that it's grooming is sick and fucking weird.
