    Two little advices for those who can’t put a tire back:
    1. Don’t use any plastic levers, only metal ones (or anything you have around, kitchen ladle should be good enough)
    2. Try to warm the last section of tire with a blow dryer till the rubber became really soft. It’s still a pain in the neck to put it back, but it should be a bit easier to do.
    Good luck guys!

    • @dmitriypushkarev6840
      @dmitriypushkarev6840  Před 5 lety +5

      Ok. but one trick and you no need dryer or metal levers and make put tire back easily, just little practice, The rim has a deep groove in middle. Just squeeze tire and put opposite side in this groove, when you put tire edge in rim groove than you can easily put tire on other side.

      I knew that but still I struggled hard. I learned another thing hard way. NEVER start from the nipple side. Start from the opposite side, and leave the nipple side for the end. It took me several times to realise that inner tube nipple prevents the outer tire to slip into the deep groove.

  • @michaeldemarillac9992
    @michaeldemarillac9992 Před 3 lety +2

    My rear puncture was from not being inflated enough, the whole side tube showed signs of wear from rubbing internally but the hole was just a small pinprick on the side of the tube 90 degrees away from the ground. I used a normal repair, did the glue once held the patch tight and then the SH1T hit the fan, I had not seen any videos or studied how to do it and it took me literally hours of frigging around and constant sobbing just to get the Tyre back on the rim, then it would pop off the other side and I would have to start again, it was so tight. Then I realised fuck this tyre rim seal is like a car and like cars they use special equipment. You really need Motorcycle Tyre levers, you need to powder the inside so the tube does not get twisted and pinched, you need to use soapy water on the edge of the tyre so it slips better. Took it for a test run and it ran flat. Did it again, many layers of tyre glue, much pressure on bigger patch and waited 24 hours to dry. Put it back together and it went 100 yards on the test run, flat again. Just purchased some solid tyres, not going to stuff around with these again, cannot afford to have flat on way to work and back.

    @healyourgutguy Před 5 lety +1

    How I got the stupid tire back on without heat.
    You will need a butter knife that will get bent.
    Some string you are going to cut.
    Once you have the tire and tube on the rim you will string string around the tire and tube to compress it.
    Pinch the tire together at tight as possible when tying the knot to keep it pinched. You can pinch it with your foot against the floor as you tie it or have someone help you. Do This in 2 or 3 places. It makes the tire much easier to slip on. You could also do this with C-clamps....
    You are gonna work the tire in from the bottom. 1/2 by 1/2 using your butter knife you are going to pull the tire into the rim. As you do this rotate the tire and push it down into the ground this will give you more tire and space to slip the tire over the rim. When about half of the tire is in the rim you will need to use more force on the butter knife and it might bend but the shape of the bend actually makes it work better.
    Keep working your way 1/2 in by 1/2 and it will fall in. It is seems impossible cause the tire won't stretch... then make some room by pressing the tire into the ground or having some pinch the tire for you.
    Good luck!

I use zipties to hold the parts that are on on both sides! Like 4-6 zipties. And 2 spoons i get it on in 2 minutes this way! If You have a vise You can do this very easy just pinch tire with the vise and zip tie and move position pinch ziptie last part use a spoon!

I would suggest using cable ties to assist in helping keep the tyre on as you bead it around the rim, otherwise it just keeps popping off. Oh and i've learned from a mistake avoid getting certain run flat tyres from AliExpress theyre totally tonk. and are advertised as 8.5 X 2 but are way too small to even contemplate putting on the rim!...Rant Over, where's my beer....Grrrrrr.

    Yes - he forgot to check tyre for what caused the original puncture ! A small thoRn perhaps? Big mistake ! Often a very small(1-2mm) point of a THORN is still stuck embedded in the rubber outer tyre - you must feel and look closely around the inside of the tyre for anything sharp that is still there. At least with a scooter there is much less tyre area and length to examine than with a bicycle !

    is there a lateral 1.5-2mm play in your back wheel? All my Xioami scooters have this issue. You can feel it as you move the scooter sideway. Dear China: why do you keep making crap products?????

    • @dmitriypushkarev6840
      @dmitriypushkarev6840  Před 6 lety +1

      Right pressure not helpful to avoid typical for bike tire punctures (punctures by shards of glass, nails and etc), but it helpful to avoid typical problem for m365 - friction holes on wheel tube

      I just share my expirience of using m365 scooter, and i never had troubles with scuffed tubes, many people have this problem. I just keep same pressure on both tires on both scooters, without problems.

    Can't do this... the tire refuses to go back on the rim, keeps just getting pushed out the other side. Bike shops won't touch this either. Is there anyone who can repair this for me? I'll send you the tire, rim, and tube and you do it. Please make an offer. I've tried and failed multiple times.

    • @skeelo69
      @skeelo69 Před 6 lety

      Tip..Use Vaseline or grease around the tire rim and the wheel, also use spoon handles as levers and if you need to use releasable 295mm cable ties so that the sections you have put back on do not slip off. I have become a bit of an expert doing it now.

    • @jimbarrofficial
      @jimbarrofficial Před 6 lety

      skeelo69 I found a bike shop who patched and fixed the wheel for me for 20.00. I was happy to pay it and get back on the road. He told me those wheels are extremely difficult to put back together and required special tools in his shop. thanks for the tip.
