Fortunatamente Trieste ritornò all'Italia, ma lo stesso non si può dire dell'Istria e della Dalmazia purtroppo. Ciò che fecero i comunisti di Tito e quelli italiani alle popolazioni istriane e dalmate non dev'essere mai dimenticato.
This provoked a major mobilization in Yugoslavia in 1954. My grandfather in Rijeka (Fiume) was also mobilized. Yugoslavia will recognize this only in 1975.

NO!!! Istria belonged to Slovenia, Italians were a small minority in Istria throughout history. Also Beneška Slovenija (Slavia Veneta) + TRST (Triest), belongs to Slovenia.
But today nobody wants Trieste because it is a majority Italian city
