None of it was meant to mock christianity nor anyone had Christianity in mind. That was not an immigration of the last supper but a pantheon of Greek gods. Olympics started in ancient Greeks and ancient Greek gods were celebrated in the Olympic games. What the French did with Pantheon was continue thousands of years long tradition. If any religion can feel offended it can only be people who believe in ancient Greek religion if such people even exist. If they think their religion was mocked they may have a point, Christians and members of any other religions don't have a point that their religion was mocked here.

Religion is not that of flesh and blood, it's that of spirit. Through the centuries Muslims and Christians gave up their lives in martyrdom for their beliefs in God without question. The mockery of one's religion is beyond any other form of mockery and discrimination. As a Muslim I / we do not tolerate the mockery of God and we stand in solidarity with the Christians in defending theirs.

The statement was "They tried to celebrate community and tolerance" by mocking The Last Supper? How did they think this was going to be received by Christians - this is blasphemy plain and simple. The planning that went into this disgusting display was not a mistake. It was too exact, too representative of the Last Supper to be misunderstood - the creator knew exactly what he was doing. Absolutely horrific - as a Christian and simply a compassionate human being I have never seen anything more disrespectful against a religious group in my entire life.
Unfortunately this is the end of any Olympic support for the remainder of my life, and I'll be sure to point out why to anyone who asks why.

I saw several foreign news outlets reporting on the opening ceremony and TONS of comments from people all over the world (barely any from the USA) that were disgusted and angry about it. Many were Hindu and Muslim. It’s not just Christians that were offended!!!
