Tomorrow we will be celebrating the greatest day in the History of Mankind. The death of a Savior, a sinless man. We need to understand the FULL sacrifice that Jesus made on this day!
    2 Corinthians 3:10-12
In fact, that first glory was not glorious at all compared with the overwhelming glory of the new way.
So if the old way, which has been replaced, was glorious, how much more glorious is the new, which remains forever!
Since this new way gives us such confidence, we can be very bold.
    - The New Way is the Death of Jesus physically, and Spiritually!
    - The old way was the Law given by Moses and the sacrifices made because of our sin. This is how people were made right with God.
    - The new way is Jesus Christ becoming the perfect sacrifice and meeting ALL the requirements of the old way!! It is our faith in him, what he did, his death and then his resurrection.
    * He was born of God's seed and not man's seed. He was born of a woman, this is WHO he is.
    * He lived a perfect life - He kept EVERY SINGLE part of the Law. He did not Sin - EVER! 1 John 3:5; 2 Corinthians 5:21; Isaiah 53:9; Hebrews 4:15; 1 Peter 2:22; John 8:29.
    * He willingly laid down his life for us. He took the wrath of God both Physically and Spiritually so I would not have to.
    * He was in the grave and he was completely dead. The wages of sin is death - not just physical death but SPIRITUAL death as well.
    - If the wages of sin was just physical death then we all would be able to pay that. But the wages of sin is "Spiritual Death." In other words, MY sin required the death of my soul - but I did not have that to give. Jesus tell Nicodemus that he needs to be Born Again." Why does Jesus tell Nicodemus this? Because when Adam Sinned he doomed every person who would ever be born to be born with a "Dead Spirit." This is why I do not have a LIVING Soul to pay for MY SIN! God saw this and provided a "Perfect Soul" to take the wags for MY SIN, that Soul was perfect and sinless and is really the only available soul - because Adam was not his father, and he did not come from Adams seed!
Romans 5:12 Therefore, just as through one man sin entered into the world, and death through sin, and so death spread to all men, because all sinned-for until the Law sin was in the world, but sin is not imputed when there is no law.
    - Without the Law sin was not "Reckoned" with. Impute means to account for, to charge an account for. In Greek it is "ellogeo" to reckon in, set to one's account, lay to one's charge, impute.
    - The first way of Judaism was just to cover sin - Like God did for Adam and Eve. First he separated them from his presence. He then sacrificed an animal and then covered their nakedness with the sacrifice of an animal. This is what Paul teaches - The First way was just temporary and that a new way would come which would be a complete
So the question remains what is going to pay the required death of my soul, I cannot provide that for my own salvation because it is dead. Adam caused the death of my soul - God said as much in Romans 5:12 and Genesis 3. In Genesis God had to be separated from his creation. God had to keep the tree of Life away from humans because it could provide endless life of the flesh. Then the LORD God said, “Look, Man has become like us, knowing both good and evil. What if they reach out, take fruit from the tree of life, and eat it? Then they will live forever!”
God is clearly saying that this tree can keep us alive if we can eat from it. Hebrew for Life is "ayay" and the meaning is simple - never to die. This word is used 25 times in the old testament, and in every scripture it is clearly meant to be Life as we know it. And Adam lived (ayay) 930 years and he died.
God Provides a living soul to TAKE MY SIN. God provides the perfect physical and spiritual sacrifice. Remember our main problem is Spiritual. Our Flesh will live for some time in most cases. My flesh will die, so I need to have a living soul before that happens. A dead Soul condemns us, Jesus says this in John 3:18 and in Mark 16:16. Those who do not believe that Jesus Christ is our sacrifice for sin are "Condemned Already!"
Jesus aphiēmi pneuma. Jesus Gave up his Spirit!
Jesus on the cross - to send forth, yield up, to expire - a spirit, i.e. a simple essence, devoid of all or at least all grosser matter, and possessed of the power of knowing, desiring, deciding, and acting - gave up his Spirit!!!! This is worth Shouting and Praising about!!!
    Matthew 27:46-52
At about three o’clock, Jesus called out with a loud voice, “Eli, Eli,[or Eloi, Eloi] lema sabachthani?” which means “My God, my God, why have you abandoned me?”
Some of the bystanders misunderstood and thought he was calling for the prophet Elijah.
One of them ran and filled a sponge with sour wine, holding it up to him on a reed stick so he could drink.
But the rest said, “Wait! Let’s see whether Elijah comes to save him.” [some manuscripts have "And another took a spear and pierced his side, and out flowed water and blood." Also in John 19:34]
Then Jesus shouted out again, and he released his spirit. [The greatest day of my life!]
At that moment the curtain in the sanctuary of the Temple was torn in two, from top to bottom. The earth shook, rocks split apart, and tombs opened. The bodies of many godly men and women who had died were raised from the dead.
    * This was not a normal physical death - Rocks split, The Walking Dead happened.
    * At his DEATH the Holy of Hollies was opened to ALL who wanted to look in. Why? Because the perfect sacrifice was made. There was no need for another sacrifice EVER.
God has given so much. On Sunday we will celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Spirit. This is a great day too, because We All can have confidence that OUR SPIRIT can be resurrected just like Jesus Soul was. This is why Jesus is our Older Brother, because he was the first to have resurrection. As a Brother he is not ashamed of me.
Hebrews 2:10-11 God, for whom and through whom everything was made, chose to bring many children into glory. And it was only right that he should make Jesus, through his suffering, a perfect leader, fit to bring them into their salvation.
So now Jesus and the ones he makes holy have the same Father. That is why Jesus is not ashamed to call them his brother
We have so much to be thankful for and one f them is how FAR GOD was willing to go to save me from MY sins!!
