I started using NYC translucent powder instead of Laura Mercier. I go like the NYX better.
Anybody remember the brand Mirenesse? They were the first brand to make the tubing mascara. They were based I believe in the UK, or actually Australia, but were also on home shopping channel in 2007 and beyond. I had never seen or heard of tubing mascara prior. I don't use mascara, maybe 🤔 only a few times a year, but looked very nice.
I would love a link to the eye primer mentioned that is good for discoloration? I struggle with veins in my eyelids that need covered. Ty

Hi Laura! I like the MAC side better, but wonder if it is more because of the color, because the Neutrogena side seems paler. About bronzer, I cannot seem to make bronzer look natural on me. It ends up looking too dark & like too much make up (I'm very light). If you have suggestions about that, I'm ready to try them! Thanks for the idea to try bronzers as eye shadow! Brilliant! I can't wait to try & now I can get some use out of those bronzers that seem too dark. By the way, lately you mentioned subscribers liked you in warm colors better. Although you ALWAYS look great, I think I like the cooler colors better on you!

Makeup is interesting as one item may work on one but not the other. My favorite foundation is wet n wild and always get asked what it is. For most it doesn’t work always but on me it’s a good fit with my skin texture. Love the recommendations and will be trying some out.
Wow, this was fun! I did not realize Neutrogena made single shadows. Will definitely try that one. You already talked about my favorite dupe which is the NYX brow pencil. I'll add in that I like ELFs brow lift which is a dupe for the Anastasia gel.

I will not pay for high end products. Not worth it to me because the dupes are just as affective. Sometimes even better.

I enjoy finding dupes for high end products. I'm interested in the Neutrogena eye shadow. I would like to try the Neutrogena Serum Foundation but I'm not sure it would give much coverage. How do you like the Neutrogena Serum Foundation compared to LOreal?
I love this, but I have to say the eyes to mesmerize oyster pearl is way way prettier.
After 60 years of wearing make up and being obsessed, I’ve learned that in today’s world you don’t need to spend a lot to get quality make up. When I started wearing make up, there were the only two options, high-end department store, and the drugstore with Maybelline, cover girl, Revlon etc, And when I was a young woman I spent half my time in Macy’s NYC , and as young mother in the 70s I spent half my time in Bloomingdale’s buying expensive make up. I now know that all that expensive makeup and those brands that are just so compelling because of the packaging and the glamour surrounding it is just a false promise. The price of a product doesn’t matter, the packaging, unless it’s a lipstick that you’re going to wear to an event doesn’t matter, what matters is the product itself and how it works on you. No matter how many times I go out and try a high-end something ( yes, occasionally I fall off the rational wagon and jump into that high-end make up passion ) I I end up returning it, because it does not perform any better than the cheap stuff I have.
So true! I was exactly the same for 55 years😂. And I worked for Macys😮. Only reason to ever buy a high end lipstick is to pull out of purse when u are out and I guess impress someone with it🙄🤣😂

Sometimes the cheaper dupes are not really cheaper when you work out how much product you're getting i saw the wayne goss face powder 25 grams of products for £25 and the dupe was milani powder at £12 but you only got 2 grams of product the elf dupes for CT products you get a lot less product a lot of the time not all of the time though ❤
