I remember. The first time I heard this song, I was eleven years of age. My mom let me join his fan club. I pasted the entire basement walls with pictures of Engelbert. I am still a fan and adore the man and his music even today. A class act. So happy Engelbert is still performing.

Yes I can remember the first time I heard this wonderful song. I was 15. I would listen to my radio every day until the radio station played it. I was hooked the first time I heard it. I remember thinking, "Who is this guy? He must be so handsome." I could listen to that soft sexy sauve voice every day for the rest of my life and the rest is history. I remember playing this song as I was getting dressed and ready to go see Engelbert in the Pocono's in PA and my husband so jealous cause I was so mesmerized with Engelbert Humperdinck, I kept my eyes on him through the entire performance. Ahh a true classic (of many Enge tracks) that has stood the test of time, still sounds fresh every time you hear it. What a special voice and great ability to interpret. I was probably around 8 or 9 back in the late 60's or 70's, ....as my Dad was a big fan.

My late mother loved this song and as a child in the early seventies it was one of my favourites as well, I think we nearly wore a groove in it playing it on the Dansette in our home in Devon.
Snap, my late father loved Enge and those early Decca LPs had superb sound production quality and sounded amazing on our Quad, Garrard, Wharfdale set up. Melodic, harmonious and beguiling. What a song, what a voice!
