I use to crochet when my children were just babies, now they have babies of their own. I cannot tell you enough how much I appreciate your videos. I had a really bad accident in 2004 that wiped out 80% of all of my memories, I don't even have memories of having my kids, so when I wanted to get back into crocheting I did not think I could do it. But your videos have made the learning process so much easier, for that I sincerely thank you.

I am 64. I have been working the Tunisian Knit Simple since about 1971 or so. ALWAYS, when I made my starting chain and then proceeded across that foundation, I would insert my hook into the back loop only. I actually never thought of it as the back loop until today. When I watched your video. You see, I have been confused for all these decades as to whether or not I am supposed to insert hook in last stitch and make a chain stitch, or proceed across without doing that. Hence, watching your video. The unexpected bonus to that is this: Throughout the ensuing decades, as I said earlier, I only went through the blo of the foundation chain. Watching YOU proceed across in the video, I saw that you went through TWO loops. EUREKA! NOW I finally know why the bottom of my piece always curls up! Thank you for your tutorial. You don't know what that means to me. Blessings on your day.

Excellent tutorial! I am a knitter, and for some reason I always struggled with crochet. Knitting comes easier to me. So, that’s why I recently discovered Tunisian crochet, as it seems to be more Knitter friendly. Thanks to your tutorial I now feel really confident doing this technique. Perhaps I won’t be so scared of trying crochet again. Thanks so much for your videos!

    Greetings Bella Coco,
I just want to let you know that I have scoured the mass number of youtube videos and online videos regarding various patterns on crochet. Each time I settled on learning the new technique, I realized the videos were all done by you. So thank you for the C2C and the waffle stitch tutorials, I am sure that I will enjoy this one as well. I saw my first Tunisian hook at the store and it was my favorite sized hook I enjoy working with, and there was no one else's video I wanted to walk me through my first adventure (corny I know) than Bella Coco. So thank you for being a great teacher, I enjoy the extra angles, and your tone. Keep up the terrific work, because I think your the best

Hi Bella Coco! I first learned to crochet 53 years ago, from my Nana, when I was 5yo. Taught myself to knit about 25 years ago when I was 33 (that was one of the crafts Nana didn't know). I recently started making purses to give friends as gifts and didn't like how my straps were coming out so I thought, maybe Tunisian crochet will be the answer (another craft Nana didn't know)? Automatically came to your CZcams channel to see what tutorials you had. Forgot to mention, I studied to be a college professor - just wanted to tell you that I greatly appreciate & admire your teaching style. I've learned or refreshed my memory of many stitches over the past few years & you're one of my favorites. Thanks for being such a great guide. My Tunisian straps are so much better than what I was doing in regular crochet, and nowhere near as hard on my hands as using my lucet fork. Plus, only making a project with a few stitches gives me something to do with Nana's old Boye hooks - since I started using Furls, they've been ignored.

Thank you so much for the video tutorial! I just wanted to add, for absolute newbs like I am at this moment, it helps to think of the way you insert the hook for your foundation row, after you finish the beginning chain (@ approx. 2:00 minutes) there are 3 pts to beg chain, 2 interloop to form the traditional "chain", and then there is a 3rd pt on the reverse, kind of like a spine. it helped me to concentrate on inserting the hook thru each loop of the "spine " instead of the "two" on the front. hope that helps at least one person. happy hooking!

I have 2 books on Tunisian Crochet, but reading them & trying 2 work the stitch I still can't seem 2 do it correctly.
In both books the very last row of this stitch usually ends w/ a slip stitch in every single lp. Is there a reason why you didn't do this as well?
