Back with a few custom missions before I start my next playthrough! This one is another mission by Punk 7890. They created another really good mission for Perfect Dark, I enjoyed playing through it and finding almost all its secrets. The level has four boxes that grants you a weapon when you break them, but I was only able to find three. The one I missed is behind the Limo, which gives you an AR64. The keycard to open the turret at the end is also a secret, and you can carry the turret from that place to help you but I didn't know about that.
I should've lowered the music volume as recommended by the creator, but I didn't notice it as loud while playing until I already rendered the video, so if the music level is annoying I'm deeply sorry about that.
This is being played through with an emulator and a 60FPS patch, mouse & keyboard controls and with increased FOV.

Great video, Graslu! You definitely made this level look easy. It was a very fun watch. :) I am curious, however. How many times did you need to play through it in order to get a perfect recording? The third box you missed is very (very) close to objective 3. You were also probably aware that you can carry the drone gun to the center boxes near the jump ship so that during Objective 5 you can make it shot enemies. Puzzling that Joanna is in her stewardess uniform as I didn't set it as such.

Thanks! It took me around 10-15 tries if we include some times the emulator failed, more than the usual custom level so that's great news. I just went to check the third box and I don't know how I missed it, giving you the AR53.
I actually didn't think of carrying the drone gun, but didn't need its help here eigher. ;P
Joanna is in that dress because Perfect Agent, I guess it's still keeping that from the original Villa setup. On Agent and Special Agent it shows up fine.

Nice, love the music in this. Certainty a great fit. Some aspects sound very similar to James Bond, especially at 1:26 - 1:34.

¡Gracias! Sí, parece ser un fallo con las dificultades, ya que en Agente y Agente Especial aparece bien, pero no en Agente Perfecto, ya que en el mapa de Villa original también iba con ese traje, se le habrá olvidado al creador cambiarlo.
Avenger k7 , love/hate weapon, good for boss/hero enemies, bad for hordes. One shot behind you and you are almost dead, perfect weapon for gang minions.My favorite weapon of this game.
I'm really curious to know how the GE007 Cradle music was hacked into this game. Superb level and video - I think this level is, if not better than the original, a nice and refreshing take on it!

It's done automatically when you add a new .mid file into the game through the Setup Editor, it'll use the instruments from either GE or PD. The instruments are still there but they're really low in PD.

Can you do this with any VG Soundtrack, and make the song sound like it belongs in GE or PD? Or does the music have to be similar to Grant Kirkhope, Graeme Norgate, and David Clynick's work or is that too advance and complicated for the Setup Editor to do?
I took the original Cradle song from GE and manually arranged it to fit and use PD instruments as some of the GE instruments are no longer in PD. You can indeed take songs from other games and arrange them to use instruments from another game. You can see a few examples of this on my channel.

What a great addition of GE's Antenna Cradle on there, though the drumbeats are slightly different.
Though I have to say this was a very long mission, for a custom level.
Some instruments sound different since this was translated into the PD soundfont. It is indeed a really long and good custom level.

protip, you can swap away than back to a gun fast to goldeneye reload it. you probably know this already, just saw a few times where doing that would have been beneficial.
I do that all the time, not faster with some guns though.

No, you'd have to manually do it per level.

Not *every* video, it's usually mentioned in the description. For GoldenEye and Perfect Dark most are mouse and keyboard unless I say it's the N64 controller or real hardware.

Huh...why is it the Cradle music lacks the Bond theme part of it? I don't remember GoldenEye music being remixed into Perfect Dark to need that. I mean, it sounds nice to just keep letting the music build like that, but still.
The Bond theme part is there, but the instruments don't really play properly. It's a custom import using instruments from GE ported into PD, so it's not perfect 1:1 copy.

It's not modified, this is not a port. The MagSec 4 is really accurate when crouching.

Same developer (Rare), same development team, same game engine (just with several more years of experience and the aid of the Expansion Pak)
There's a reason why PD is the spiritual successor to GE. If memory serves me, Rare had every intention of following up by doing Tomorrow Never Dies, but EA had massively outbid them for the 007 license and wound up getting a big multi-game contract. That's where much of the work on PD started. In fact, some of the earliest pictures of PD are clearly using assets from Goldeneye.
EDIT: Yeah, found a video on it. While they did get into a bidding war with EA, it doesn't sound like they were too bummed about it:

Honestly rare needs to come back to this game and franchise I understand you wanted to get crystal dynamics behind this but that studio can't top what rare did for this game

There are no shields on Perfect Agent
Custom levels don't follow any rules, so you can add shields on any difficulty.

With Carnivorous' 1964 Bundle you can turn up the FOV inside the plugin settings of the mouse injector.

That music from cradle wasn’t a great fit for this level, it’s way too long of a gameplay for it. Listening to this fast paced and tense music only works for a couple of minutes before it gets really annoying
