We collected flowers from our October garden and arrange them while we have a chat about what we've been up to this summer and what is next for Root Design company. Hint: change is in the air.
If you've been thinking of starting a flower farm, or have come to the end of a disastrous first year (like we did in 2015), we think you may like what we've been working on!
It's been a year full of flowers and weeds, blessings and trials, just like every other normal year, I suppose. :) Life is rarely picture perfect, but it is a good and beautiful thing to be enjoyed.

buying dahlia's every week (from local amish lady that has an amazing garden) to make a bouquet for my store where I display them in an old cast-iron sink. hope to get some tubers soon, congratulations so happy for you!
Oh gals ! Glad to watch you do your thing again ! I also grew a variety of the seed dahlias from Floret … some I like some not so much ☺️. And get this - my husband ended up really enjoying and learning about the whole dahlia process . He helped me so much this summer and snipped buckets of florals for me since I was pregnant and now postpartum! I have a feeling next years garden will mostly be dahlias . But do tell me HOW to grow beautiful eucalyptus???? We struggle over here . Does it want to be trimmed a lot ? Watered ? Sun ? Thanks for your help and nice videos 😍

My dahlias all from seeds I had yellow,pink, white,peach,red it’s so fun! It’s just for my landscape but I’m leaning towards having cut garden too.

I'm crying....don't get me wrong, I'm happy for you both!! But I don't have any sisters....I'm married with 4 beautiful children and I wouldn't change it for the world but there is just a part of me that really envies the idea of being a "spinster sister".....I'm using your words here:) I think it's great and it shows that their are so many different ways to live a happy and fulfilling life. I really hope you guys continue to do this together because I SO enjoy your videos and I think that you really have something special.

Wonderful bouquets! But I also love the dark violet pompon-Dahlia variety that you considered but then did not use for the arrangement.. may I ask for the name of this lovely variety? I am so enchanted by that color and shape...
