    Used your videos to change my bike setup (paid for a bike fit and never felt great). Instant massive improvements. Can feel more muscle engagement, more comfort, lower heart rate and improved speed. Enjoying being on the bike again..... Thank you!

    I know the more bend down to forward, upper body can create aero positions, but most people get tired sustain such a posture for long hours, such a long distance triathlon race. Specially back of neck and shoulder. So I personally prioritize for comfortable positions as my body level.

      I agree, comfort is key, but there's no reason why you can't both be comfortable, good bike fit

    The hands should be much higher and in same air foil with the head.

    This bike was really easy to assemble czcams.com/users/postUgkxMesz3KOGEmwmvyKQfLfrRSUXLFzfVHZA and required very few adjustments out of the box. The wheels did not require any truing/adjustments. The frame had some small scratches, but nothing major.I did replace the seat though - the seat it came with was very uncomfortable. The tires need to be re-inflated every 4-5 days, but this appears to be quite common for the narrow 700x25 tires.Overall, in my opinion, this bike looks and rides like a much more expensive bike.

      Hi MrUbersven, I offer a remote bike fitting service via video for which I charge $175AUD. Is this something you'd like to take advantage of? If so, please email me at setup@custombikefit.com

    I got a question about the 38 degree angle. Your athlete looks like he almost has a straight leg. How is this measured?

    • @custombikefit466
      @custombikefit466  Před 5 lety +5

      What you're probably seeing is the rider stationary, when this occurs they generally drop their heel and fully extend the leg. When fitting I film the rider under load and then watch back in slow motion and freeze frame at the bottom of the stroke. In addition I use a Retul 3D motion capture system which will give me the exact angle

    I’m enjoying the bike so far czcams.com/users/postUgkxMesz3KOGEmwmvyKQfLfrRSUXLFzfVHZA My only real complaints are the brakes and the pedals. I feel like a bike designed for bigger people should have much larger pedals and more heavy duty brakes. I’ve only gotten two really good rides out of it, minimal downhill action, and the brakes feel like they’re already going out. A larger person has more momentum, so I think this wasn’t thought through very well. Also, I wear size 13-14 wide shoes. My feet cramp up on these pedals that are clearly made for smaller feet. Since I’m not a pro rider (and I don’t think many are who purchase this bike) I don’t think that the straps on the pedal are necessary at all. None of this takes away from the enjoyment I get from riding, however. I’ll just head to a bike shop to improve on a few things.

    In case the Bodysize would fit right between two Frame sizes m or l. Would you rather Go for the smaller or the bigger Frame?

    • @custombikefit466
      @custombikefit466  Před rokem

      In my experience, it very much depends upon the make and model of the bike. If you'd like some 1-on-1 help, please send me an email to setup@custombikefit.com

    what kind of saddle is the rider using in this video? also, do you suggest cutting off the excess extension bars i have my elbows on the pads and hand where the shifters are?

    • @custombikefit466
      @custombikefit466  Před 3 lety

      The rider is on a Specialized Sitero. Providing there's not too much excess extension, I'd leave it. Your position may change over time and the additional may come in handy when you sell the bike
